This course was difficult unless you study the vocab he provides online. He does not use powerpoint or a textbook, so you must simply follow what he says, which is not always clear or organized. I know some people love his classes, but he just did not seem to be able to clarify the material when asked to. Also his tests are cumulative.

This was probably one of the hardest classes I've taken at Mizzou, but I still ended up with an A b/c I went to class everyday and went to him when I had questions. He's a GREAT teacher. The tests are all cumulative but he posts notes online that are verbatim to concepts on the test. If you put the effort into studying you will do well.

Like him as a person but hate him as a professor. He started a new format in which we had NO book and tests were all fill in the blank, and every test was comprehensive so unless you spend all your time studying do not expect a good grade.

he uses no visuals, no book, all u have to study are notes u collect from his unorganized lectures. gets off topic really easily but pay attention cause he will briefly mention important concepts sometimes. Tests were fill in the blank + most of the questions are given before the exam. Will not prepare u for psych 1320.

He has pretty easy tests, if you study and go to class. He does not use powerpoints or any other type of visual which makes it difficult to take notes, but over all he really wants you to pass the class. He will even give you an extra boost at the end if you are having problems. If you need help ask him! He is very willing to help

Worst freaking teacher ever! Most confusing tests u could imagine over information never covered. All he has is an outline that he puts on an overhead each day while he sits and talks. It boggles my mind how this man still has a job at MU. Can somebody with some authority please sit through one of his stupid classes & attempt to take his tests?

hardest psych class i've ever taken. if you don't start studying DAYS in advance, you will be screwed. if you don't read the book, then you will be screwed as well. likable professor, his exams are just unbelievably hard, but he curves the overall class so even if you're getting C's on the exams, you can expect a B or an A in the class

He left to go back home during the 2 weeks before our first exam. Doesn't really teach the information, just puts the book on the overhead and goes over figures. The book used also jumps all over the place just like his lectures.

I had him for Psychologist Reads the Newspaper...I didn't know what to expect, but it was the easiest class ever. No tests, no papers-just one assignment a week. It's a discussion class and he's open to wherever the conversation goes. He's funny, interesting, and actually LISTENS to you. Attendance is big for him-but I don't see why you wouldn't go

I had this class for Honors Human Sciences sequence 1. Mr. Stadler is one of the smartest, most knowledgeable and just plain nicest teachers I've had. He goes out of his way to be friendy, to talk to students, and he cares deeply about the subject he teaches. His breadth of knowledge is really engaging.

I got a B in this class, but it was horrible. He covers a lot of material and several book chapters and doesn't specify what is on the test. His tests are all short answer and he grades really hard. He is also not approachable. I went to talk to him about a grade and he blew me off. Don't take his class!

I liked Stadler, but I hated the class. Make sure to do the reading, as well as study notes from class--because the two do not overlap much. Sometimes his notes are very vague--make sure to ask him about anything you don't understand right away. He is very good at explaining things.

Comment:
Lectures cover detailed experiments and don't overlap the text much at all. To get an A, take detailed notes over more than just lecture slides and read everything. Way too much reading. Research paper is graded leniently.
