Dr. Miriam is a nice lady, but she is very unorganized and often loses track of the focus of the class. She doesn't follow a tentative schedule, and she blames the class for not meeting time requirements when it is her drags the class into talking about nonsense. I couldn't even imagine what the class would be without a TA.

One of the most unorganized and contradicting professors I've ever had. She claims to stick with the syllabus the entire semester, but she hardly ever does. She will assign a lot of busy work and expects quality work. However, the requirements are NEVER clear. She's an easy grader though. If you always go to class and do the work you will pass.

Extremely friendly and even more crazy. She is very unorganized we were assigned the same assignment multiple times on multiple occasions. Will not fail you if you make a half effort. Be ready she is really crazy like I'm talking you wonder how she is even a prof but nice none the less.

Miriam is a very sweet lady. She is very nice and entertaining, but she isn't always clear on what she is expecting. Overall, her class was an easy A, so why not take her? In fact, I am again this semester.

this woman is off her rocker. i got an A in the class but it was so nerve racking. there are 6 speeches, no tests, and a couple quizzes that really mean nothing for your grade. as long as you basically memorize your speech and listen to what she says, but most don't, then you'll get an A with no problems

She complains about how everyone is somehow distracting the speaker but honestly, her tapping and wild movements make HER the distraction. Confuses assignments between sections, and loses your grades and holds YOU accountable. If that doesn't convince you to stay away, I don't know what will.

Take the summer session - a lot less speeches and no tests, 1 quiz. She is off the wall to say the least, doesn't make much sense. According to her my speeches improved, but my grade didn't? Like others said, has favorites and grades according, still an easy B+ or A

She's crazy. She had favorites and graded accordingly. She was unclear on all of the assignments, and when she was, she'd yell because she didn't want it the way she said. Her grading was erratic at best and she was late every class. It wasn't hard, but a huge pain.

She is a nun and acts pretty much as a nun would, somewhat strict, tests aren't too bad and is somewhat disorganized, she is often talking about other stuff than what we are doing in class which leads to the reason why at 8 weeks into class we have had only one test, the reading is extremely dry but if you pay attention you can do decent.

I don't understand all the bad remarks? She is a great teacher. The only grades in the class are 6 speeches, no exams and meaningless quizzes that have no effect on your grade. Most of the time you just go to class and listen to the speeches. Very little work needed to get an A in this class.

Awesome class.... really brings people together and the class is fun... not that challenging.. really helps you out with public speaking. I highly recommend this class. Get along with her and you'll get a good grade.
