Charkiewicz is a great professor. He is hilarious and cares for his students. For ECON 200 he puts the textbook online so no purchase necessary there. Although Econ is not my forte he is very insightful and will make you enjoy they class

This Prof has humor but he is subtle. Delivers a clear lecture, take good notes as they help with online homework. Classwork is weekly, reading a chapter or two, then a graded assignment, all with one week deadline. You need to complete within one week, so that is flexible. Prof is a cute, older guy.

Surprised that I am learning how the economy works. This is more than I expected. Yeah, I am graded but actually learning a lot. He is very clear and direct. Provides great examples. Well worth my time.

Always interesting presentation lectures, presents the most difficult material in an understanding way. Learning how government works was key to my understanding. He bring in his experiences and makes things meaningful. Worthwhile coming to ever class. Online work was harder but he is fair. Great prof for CCSU!

He doesn't teach what is on the exam or on your homework, so you will not receive a good grade. He's very nice and a fun teacher but a lot like a high school teacher who gets off topic way too much. Once it comes time for the exams and homework you won't have any chance in getting a good grade because he teaches nothing.

Highly Highly recommended! I was doing misrable on all the exams, but because of the extra credits i still managed to pass with a decent grade. CCSU needs more professor like this who makes peoples life a bit more easier.

He's such a sweet guy, his in class lectures are MUCH more helpful than reading the required text book online and doing the homework online(everything is online). He gives extra credit every second, so it's pretty impossible to get a bad grade. It's hard to want to miss his class since he's so nice.

He is such a great professor..if you have to take an econ class definitely take him! He teaches clearly and makes the class easy. He is a traveled man that knows a lot about what he is talking about! Plus all tests are open notes/book and he gives out a ton of extra credit.

This professor and class actually helped me understand economics! He is very clear in how he presents the material and offers in-class and online instruction. Really, you don't even have to buy the book or go to class. He also offers a lot of extra credit to keep your grade up. Wonderful professor! A++!

This guy rocked! You don't have to go to class, don't have to buy the book, don't have to pay attention but you do have to buy the aplia.com thing for about $70. The tests were hard, but he gives online study examples which are JUST like the tests so if you study them, you'll do fine. Does give extra credit and final was not cumulative. GREAT TCHR

Class is taught through aplia.com. The book is also online. Class is boring and since the tests are based on the book, class participation isn't necessary. I only show up on test days. Exams are hard but he offers extra credit (thank God!) Nice guy, and doesn't mind when students use the computers to check their facebooks :)

AMAZING CLASS. I never understood Economics until his class. He explains the material extremely well and uses an online hands-on website called aplia (don?t buy a textbook its online) He made waking up early bearable. He offers a lot of extra credit to help improve your grade and understand the material further.

chark is the man. his class is all based online. you dont even have to go to class. just periodically check the website to see if anything is due. you dont have to be in class to take the tests. also gives a lot of practice examples that are similar to those on the exam. very easy. massive amounts of easy xtra credit. nice guy
