An amazing professor. He believes in what he is doing and that's really important. One of the most objective, unbiased professors I've ever had. He will challenge your assumptions. He has a lot of experience in different conflict zones all over the world. The class was a lot of work but was worth it. He is also a very kind person.

SUCH a good professor. We learned academically as well as tangible applications to the peace and conflict world. He really knows what he is talking about. He is also a fair grader and lenient on extensions. Definitely take him.

Abu nimer is an engaging pracitioner and instructor with much to offer from his continued experience in the field of conflict resolution. He teaches through example and triggers assumptions in peoples thinking in the class discussions. This course is skills oriented on dialogue, low on conflict analysis, but an excellent experience overall.

Abu-Nimer's classes are quite non-traditional. Mohammed tries to get you to challenge yourself and take risks. He also cuts the course in half (ends after 7 weeks) and expects you to have a very flexible out of class schedule. There is a lot of wiggle room in his grading and you have to try very hard to fail.

Comment:

Prof. Abu-Nimer is the most objective teacher I've ever had in my life. It is the most refreshing thing to be in a class that forces you to put yourself on both sides of a conflict. He is extremely knowledgable, gentle, and a sweetheart. The workload is easy, but you really should attend his classes and try to do well because you will learn a lot!
