I wish I have taken him for physics 123. I got a C on 123 even though I worked so hard for this class. I do not like Physics it is just a requirement for my major. I took Montana for 124 and everything was different. I didn't feel lost in lectures, I was able to understood things. I also worked hard for this class but I got an A :)

Crème de la crème of professors. His divine knowledge in natural philosophy will ascend you to a greater understanding of the universe. His class was a immense pleasure to attend from his sarcastic humor, to his excellent lectures. You will be transformed , and the rest who cannot make it through , shall falter.

Professor Montana ascends the universe. Great professor and very funnysarcastic. You can ask any question relating to sciencelife and he will answer it for you. Very helpful, clear and approachable. As long as you study and work hard, you'll do fine. I received an A in both Analytial Physics 2 lecture and lab. Favorite professor by far.

If you love physics, take him. If you don't like physics, take him. If you hate physics, take him. If you wish to major in physics, definitely take him. Professor Montana is a gem of a person who will go out of his way to help students. Don't be fooled by his demeanor and snarky comments. The man is pure gold.

DO WHAT EVER YOU CAN TO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. HE IS VERY RUDE AND INTIMIDATING, OTHER PROFESSORS ARE SCARED OF HIM. DOESNT EXPLAIN ANYTHING, DOES ALL THE CALCULATIONS BY HIMSELF EXPECTS YOU TO KNOW EVERYTHING YOURSELF. DOESNT HELP WITH HOMEWORK. WILL DESTROY YOUR GPA. YOU WILL REGRET IT. IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR SEMESTER IF YOU TAKE HIM

He is okay. He goes over the homework and helps out. But he moves through material SO quickly. His class is a tremendous challenge. He has a highly negative attitude which is unfortunate cause he is a good guy. Also even though people shouldn't be on their phone in class he makes it a HUGE deal in the middle of lecture.

He's a great professor and a very helpful one at that. Of course you have to come to EVERY class and DO YOUR HOMEWORK! He explains everything, but you have to use the mash in your head to THINK! Yes he wants you to think and learn. Took him for lab and lecture got an A in both. If you want to learn and ace the finals you should take him!

The class itself is very hard. You must have at least passed regular Physics with an A before even attempting to take Analytical Physics. Professor Montana is extremely helpful and will do his best to explain everything you need help with, but Physics is A SELF TAUGHT CLASS! He can only help you understand, he can't make you learn the material.

Good teacher, bad professor. What I mean is, he is really brilliant and you learn alot but its never enough for his standards. Amount of assignments/ difficulty of tests = sweatshop conditions. If you take make sure your other classes are fingerpainting and nosepicking.50% of class withdraws every term. That's in Ana.Phy where everyone is a nerd.

I was completely lost in class. Physics is a tough subject. Most of the time he didn't even tell you what chapter he was on. Did diagrams but wouldn't tell you the questions. Willing to help during office hours but still goes through too quickly. Take someone else.

Extremely intelligent and extremely helpful guy. Do the assigned H.W. and make sure PRACTICE the review sheet that he posts before the exam. There is no surprise, The format of exam is exactly the same as the review sheet. Also FOCUS on the practice final exam. I got an A because I followed his advice. A highly recommended professor.

He might not be the easiest professor, but he is a good teacher. You need help, go to him he is ready to help you but if you don wanna put any effort then nothing could be helpful. Just do the homework and his reviews and you will pass. But he does give a lot of homework if you are not ready for work then don take him.

I still shudder when I think back at taking his class. I took an all science class load that semester and ended up pouring most my hours into homework problems, and it still ended up being my lowest grades. He also has class favorites. Take anybody else unless you don't mind slaving away or failing.

Extremely intelligent. Helpful if you have an intelligent question pertaining to the material he is covering, even non sequitur questions. You take his course to learn the material, not to socialize or get an easy grade. 30+ HW problems per chapter, even with a solutions manual it can take hours. He makes this subject hell to ease the transition.

This was a lab class, so attendance was mandatory. The labs themselves were relatively easy, but if you were late, he would not let you perform the lab. Make sure you are on time. Ask questions when you have an issue or are confused. The lab reports get harder as the semester goes on because the amount of data increases. Very fair grader.

Definitely not the easiest teacher out there, but he is one of the best. It's a very hard course because it has to be. He is more than willing to help if you need it, and he constantly challenges the students. If you take the time and do the homework and practice tests you shouldnt have a problem, but do not expect to just show up and pass

While you will learn a great deal by taking Montana, you will also nearly become unhealthy by stressing over the amount of graded homework given. If you have the time & effort to do homework I highly recommend him as you will have a very strong foundation when you transfer. He is very helpful in his office hours but will insult you if you slack off

Great Proffessor for Physics You will learn a lot in his class if you are interested in learning rather than complaining about the homework he gives and his tests are purely based on his homework problems most of the test problems are the homework problems so there is no need to complain if you do your homework by yourself rather than coppying :)~
