Very monotone voice, easy to fall asleep. You'll need to study a lot on your own, using his packets/the book/notes from recitation. He curves A LOT, though, thankfully.

This was by far the hardest course I took, however I still aced it. Go to workshop, preferably both of them (M and R). They are very helpful, just make sure you do a lot of problems, and keep reviewing mechanisms and EXCEPTIONS to predict the product rule.

Fishman's monotonous voice will put you to sleep. the only thing keeping you up in lecture is the incessant note-taking that you have to do. Go to every lecture. Exams are based on lectures, not the text. His exams are reasonable, but you have to work hard. Find and do all the practice problems. Overall, a difficult, but manageable class.

The course is pretty easy as long as you put a lot of work into it. It's imp to be tight with the TAs bc Fishman is useless when it comes to extra help. If ur TA's english is bad, just sit during someone else's section.

Fishman is brilliant. There is something indescribably funny about him. The man just exudes hilarity. Maybe it's the way he reads jokes off of a piece of paper. And he knows O-chem. And he's a really nice guy. Talk to him, you'll see. Don't expect to study the night before for his tests because you will crash and burn. Give yourself two nights.

His lectures are clear, however there are alot of gaps in it, and you need to do ALOTTT of work on your own to be able to do decent. A good T.A for rct is sooo important, and if you have a non-english speaking one, switch out asap.

Fishman is a good teacher. He compresses what the books says. But he doesn't answer much qs in class and refers you to recitation. He uses slides, you have to copy notes, so u gotta be awake. He brings jokes in class, funny or not is subjective. His exams will be easy to pass but not to excel in. g

The only things I ever understood in organic I learned from this man. I liked his teaching style; it enabled me to take phenomenal notes, which were the only things I needed to study for his exams.

I thought he was an excellent teacher. He is approachable, accomodating, and he clearly defines his expectations in his notes. I absolutely loved the jokes, music, and in-class problems- they brought a great atmosphere to an otherwise boring class

Whoever said Fishman was "hot" is insane and whoever said he was "easy" never took Orgo 2 with him. Easy for Orgo lab, but not for the classroom portion of the course. There were better & more helpful professors 1st semester orgo.
