she will teach nothing, give no formulas, no textbook, expect you to know things and then test on those things. grades harshly with no scale. she is extremely left and has no problem voicing her opinion which isnt a huge problem for me but was for many others i knew and was annoying

Comment:

Great teacher, really interested in her students doing well. I do agree that she doesn't just give an A, but unlike many other professors she provides for those who work hard and deserve a good grade. I learned the course extremely well because of the high expectations she had during homework assignments and tests.

Comment:

Very nice professor and helpful. She wants students to do well, but is not someone to hand out A's to everyone. She expects her students to know the material and earn their grade. Textbooks are only really used for homework (which is graded on whether the answers are right, not just whether you did it).

Doesn't really give you a good idea of what is on the test to come. I refuse to allow my grade to be weighted on questions such as "What is Austerity," from a video we watched in class. I give the impression she think American students are really spoiled and lazy, which isn't the case for most at this university. Isn't clear in class.

I get the impression that she doesn't really care about students performance. Minimal interest in student during office hours and sometimes goes home and doesn't go to office hours. Students believed that her second test would be more book based but it was primarily excel based despite the fact that she reviewed a lot of book material during review

Asli is by far my favorite professor at Bryant. Not only is she extremely intelligent, but she also makes finance fun! She's also the sweetest professor I've ever had! When the weather was nice she took us outside and treated us to coffee! She really cares about her students and their success in her class. She's also very approachable!

I didn't like her teaching style, but that was more of a personal preference. She's very knowledgeable and the classes were interesting. Her accent can be frustrating, depending on your personal tolerance level. She's not bad to look at though.

Overall an okay professor, she has realistic expectations of her students and enjoys teaching. However, you are going to need to teach yourself from the book most of the time, so if you aren't very strong in finance, watch out. On the other hand, finance majors will get through this course easily.

She is one of the nicest professors I have had at Bryant. She explains everything, and doesn't move on until she thinks the class understands. It's not her fault that people don't speak up when they are confused. She is so nice she even brought us cookies when she gave our exams back because she knew some people wouldn't be happy with their grades.

In Investments, she basically goes over the chapters very briefly in class. She expects you to learn most of the material outside of her class by reading the book, making it difficult to understand certain concepts. Exams are only 4 questions, so if you make a mistake you do horrible

She is mildly entertaining, but doesn't really teach all that much nor do it all that well. She has these slideshows that are fairly incoherent. She is for the most part a nice lady, but she has her grumpy moments. I wouldn't rearrange my schedule to take her, but if you get her, its nothing to cry about.

i dont know what everyone is talking about, she is so easy. tests are right from the slides, no need to read the book. she GIVES you the equations on the tests, so no need to memorize them. just do the hw problems and you'll be fine. easiest class, i got an A no problem.
