Comment:

Dr. Tinkham exposes you to multiple languages, and spends an appropriate amount of time in class explaining what you need to know to learn the language. The first language she exposes the class to is Scheme, so pay close attention because it is nothing like java and if you code the HW right the first time around, it'll make your life a lot easier.

Professor Tinkham was a great professor for Foundations of Computer Science. The class in general isn't too difficult if you pay attention and put the work in. She is a very caring professor and explains things very well. Overall excellent professor.

Awesome teacher. Helps you a lot inside as well as outside the class. Her schedule gives you a clear understanding of what will happen and you can come prepared for the class.

Another great semester with Dr. Tinkham. She is one of the best at Rowan, I would definitely recommend taking her. This class got a bit boring, but I think that is mostly due to the material. About 50% of the class is working from the main book, and the other 50% is learning about a specific language (Scheme, Ada, and Prolog). Overall, it was good.

Teaching methodology is excellent. She sometimes lights up the class with her witty humor. You will hardly get bored. Homework should be very good to get full marks, however her notes are sufficient to refer. She is students' favorite and encouraging. I recommend to take her class if you are looking for gaining knowledge and not just grades.

Dr. Tinkham is great. She has the entire semester mapped out and gives you everything you need at the beginning . There were a few homework assignments, 3 exams, and a semester project. The project is weighted heavily. Her AI class is one of the best I have taken at Rowan. I would absolutely recommend taking her, because she is a great professor :)

Dr. Tinkham is a very good professor. She teaches subject matter clearly, and is very helpful. During her office hours, she took the time to really explain things to me well. Tests were not bad at all, and the workload was more than fair. She also makes sure that you receive feedback on material before being tested on it.

Interesting class. You learn up to 4 new languages and she's very clear teaching them. Exams aren't tough, though you have to grasp the concepts of the languages as opposed to just BSing stuff. The lectures grew a little boring sometimes, especially the history of programming languages topics, but otherwise a pretty easy class.

Easy class, doesn't explain things htat well. The homeworks arent on things you learn but they are easy to figure out. Tests are explained before hand. If you are computer literate its easy.
