As a teacher she is horrible. Gives no feedback grading. This class had SO much reading/writing for a 3 unit class. More work then my 5 unit math class. Grades you easier if she likes you. She gave up towards the end, we had nothing due last 2 weeks and watched a movie. Grades were so bad she gave out extra credit because half of class was failing

Nancy is a great professor who takes the time to ensure that her students fully undersatnd the material and know what is expected of them. There will be many essays to write however, these essays are given to you with plenty of time in between each one. Basically the class itself moves at a very slow speed so that all students grasp the concepts.

Nancy is a very hard grader. I don't feel she was very informational. I feel she just told you what to do and when it was due. But didn't really give great feedback or even help. There is a lot of essays and there was a book required in class.

I am in her engl100 class and its an easy B (for someone who waits last minute) if you try, its an easy A. This class was more like a refresher learning thesis ect. theres no books , just articles that take about 5 minutes to read. She has a great attitude and will help if you ask for it.

She just tells you what the assignment is and when it's due and then expects you to know exactly what to do. She's super nice in class but she's one of the pickiest graders I've ever had and she does allow you to do revisions but unless the paper is perfect, she only gives you 5 points back. You have to nag and beg for help.

I am dyslexic and reading comes difficult to me. This class required a fair amount of essay writing but hardly and reading. Nancy is a great teacher that I would recommend if you are not a reader. The class is very well planned out and she is clear with what she wants from your work. She is easy to approach with questions and she makes class fun!

Nancy was a tough teacher. No matter how hard I tried to correct my essays she always gave below an A. Once I received an A on a midterm but that was luck. Shes a very nice person, just grades harsh and you MUST attend class or you lose points.

Nancy is a wonderful professor, clear in what is asked of the students. She was paient and helpful, guided us to material of good use withoutgiving the answers. I have suggested to everyone I know to take her classes and I myself waited a semester just so I could be back in her class.

Lots of writing. The topics of the writing assignments may be difficult. You get to write about various things, which may be something you have no interest at all. The good thing about that is you get to practice more writing, and you get to choose one of your all essay starts to finalize it and turn it in. In general, she is helpful.

Really positive experience. I appreciated that her class a was a safe environment for shy people. We sometimes had to talk in front of the class, but somehow she always made that happen in a non-threatening way. She gave good examples so that it was clear what she was looking for. She let you write about your own interests for assignments.

She also gives time for editing in class for every paper and some time in the library as well. Amazing. Was in her class for veterans -- she has a true passion for what she teaches and shares it with all. Not only the best English professor, the best Professor...PERIOD. Learned so much. No book/novel reading so we could focus on our writing. It worked. 110% recommended for Veterans and 100% recommended for ALL students!

Overall a good teacher. She tends to ramble about things that arent important, but they make the class more interesting. Helpful on essays, however the online syllabus was confusing and always changing. I would recommend her though.
