Utterly horrible. Used PP slides that come from the book. Clearly didn't know what she was talking about. The SQL program didn't work for half the class. Literally the only good thing about this course was that she passed everything or else we all would've failed. This class was a mandatory waste of time. Avoid her at all costs.

Comment:

Most of her class is just her reading the (very expensive) textbook aloud. If you need help she seems to get rather irritated. Also, I've never had a professor call the help desk before, but she has called at least 4 times - strange for an information systems prof. Most of the grade is weighted towards the open book (and internet) tests.

Absolute worst teacher I've ever had. Going to class is pointless because her idea of "teaching" is reading straight out of the book. But you have to go to class or get in trouble because that's the only way she can get people to show up. No one you will talk to likes her. Awful, Terrible, Horrible

First of all i have an A in her class so i'm not mad because i did bad. She barely explains topics that no one in the class knows about, then gets mad when people ask questions. i get that professors need to be tough at times, but she is just rude about it. Also makes you pay soooo much for books and access codes that you barely/dont use.

She does not explain anything... things gives attitude when you ask her to explain herself. I even did good in the class and would not take her again. Makes you buy all 3 books and when they are worthless and you learn more by googling your topic, but does assign the homework out of all 3.

She is a hard professor and does expect the very best from all of her students, however intro to bis is the worst of her classes once you take her for upper level mis classes she is nice, helpful and caring. She will give you a study guide and it follows the test perfectly. I would definitely recommend her.

I can't believe all of the negative comments on here. She is a really nice person and she cares about her students. Her class was so super-easy. I didn't have to study at all. She likes class discussions too, so if you speak up, she appreciates that.

She has no idea what she is doing. The things she says are absolutely wrong most of the time. When a professor steals ppt slides and just reads them tells me she has no idea what is going on! everyone in the major(all 7 of us) tell people not to join the IS dept because she is the only IS prof.

Used the term "hot pluggable" in lecture and study guides, and didn't even know what it was. Teaches from the powerpoints without adding much more to keep interest. Wastes too much time on busy work instead of what we need to know.

Overall she is just not any fun all. She has this attitude like I am better than all of you. Its sad when the class knows more about the topics than she does. Thank god im not IT major, if I had to take her again, I'd probably kill myself. The excel and access projects are just pain, and require a lot of effort, very unaccomidating, teriible!!!!!!

Had her for info systems. Awful. Downright awful. Really rude for no reason (still don't get why she's always so unaccomidating). Get this, if you get an answer right in excel, but you don't do it HER way, it's wrong. IN EXCEL! Retardation. Avoid at all costs.

The worst teacher I've had in my entire school career. I knew more than she did, which is pathetic. She should not be a teacher; she should be sitting in the same chairs we are learning herself. I don't know how she graduated college or why UPJ hired her. Take her if you don't want to learn a thing!!!
