She was very helpful....you have 3 papers, a presentation and two exams. The class might seem hard, but it is not. The readings were actually fun. A good grade can be easily obtained, she is very nice. She is also obsessed with Harry Potter.

I'm not a resentful failed student. I got an A. That said, she takes favorites. In the beginning I wrote my own oppinions and got C's. When I wrote exactly the oppinion she expressed in class I got A's. She asks the stupidest questions in class on on quizzes. She doesn't care about style, and she likes filler. She makes you feel like you're 5.

Hoff is an intellectual weakling. she is extremely easy and dull. she should not be teaching Honors seminars. she has no intellectual depth and was easily overwhelmed by smart students. she resents intellectuals, but grades fairly her. her class is very easy, to the extent that it is intellectually insulting. she should be a high school teacher.

Her class is pretty simple, but extremely boring. I didn't feel like I learned anything at all from her. I didn't even feel like I reviewed anything about english. The class felt more like we were just there to practice writing but not learning about the writing process at all. She is very nice though but a little nerdy.

Though Hoff is very picky with grammar, MLA, and style, she is still an easy teacher. All you really have to do is show up and participate, do the reading, and grammar/spell-check your essays. She offers really easy extra credit too. The only people who do not do well in her class are those who are lazy or don't like her.

it was a boring long but easy class. kept the class in after time was up. but was pretty easy and offered extra credit. if u put in a little effort u will get an a good grade. hard grader on essays and goes gives alot of useless info.

She's a great teacher,but only after you get to know her! She assigns quite a bit of essays and readings. My suggestion is that you go in for help. She's always willing to help, as long as you make the effort! Try taking the 098-101 spread also.

She is cool once you get to know her. I think only a complete idiot would get anything lower than a B in her class. I don't see why Honors students expect their professors to hold their hands. If you can't write, you shouldn't be in there.

I got an A in Neta's class because I participated in class discussions, showed up the majority of the time, and went in office hours for extra grading on draft papers. She's a cool lady once you get to know where she's coming from, and you just have to put your own style aside and write for her. :P

Very Unclear on what she wants out of a paper. Also favors students. The subject matter she hits upon is very redundant. Its not hard material to analyze, but her grading criteria on the papers is absolutely subjective.
