Interesting during two lectures given in Foundations, however other aspects of his module were absolutely horrible. Copp has too much to do to really help any particular student - hard to reach by email & during office hours. Worst of all, his test was not given back until 3 WEEKS LATER, WHEN STUDENTS COULD NO LONGER DROP THE CLASS!

Prof. Copp made Core 1 for me. He was incrediably helpful in making sure we understood not only the material, but what our exams were asking of us. He's busy outside of class, but he is truly engaged in teaching Core 1.If you have him, you have no excuse not to love this course.

He was my discussion leader for Core I, and I loved him. He was great at facilitating discussion without taking over, adding in good insights here and there when the class was stagnant, but he always made us answer our own questions. He is also very cute and funny in an elderly uncle or mentor sort of way.

newt is the man. he made core 1 fantastic. he tries to engage all the students in the classes. he is a bit difficult to get a hold of sometimes, but he is a bit overextended.

Copp wants to be helpful, but he is spread too thinly. He doesn't respond well to e-mail and is always slammed during his office hours. Regardless, Foundations was a fun course that was really hard, stressful and cool. It's good for the lab science req because you don't have to go in for any labs outside of class. He's a good, clear lecturer.

Sometimes his discussions aren't that helpful because he just sits back and lets you go, but that's also what's great about them. He is completely open to different opinions. Even as a minority belief group in his class, I never felt ostracized.

He's a fabulous discussion leader. He always has good ideas and direction for discussion, and makes the reading/lecture clear. He's also very good about relating the readings to one another and putting the big picture in perspective. His review session for the midterm was also very helpful.
