I have taken many classes with Nial and find him to be one of the best professors I have ever had. His made his lectures seem as if he were telling you a story and its hard not to hang on his every word at times.He doesn't expect to much as far as assignments go (unlike Porter) and his tests are fairly easy if you know the material.

Prof mcclosky is a hip individual. He has an awesome way of shutting down stupid questions. He also teaches quite well. only complaints, he expects all work done without any prompting, or explainations. just have the assignment ready on time!!

The only problem I have is when I'm not paying attention are he directs us to one of the quotes. Thats my own fault. Nial1 is an amazing teaching and does shut down people who are cleary "not paying attention" and ask him to explain something he just went over.

One complaint, he gets lost in mid-sentence/word sometimes. Otherwise I'm pretty sure he has one of the best memories I've ever witnessed. Also the way he shutsdown people with idiotic questions is simply superb.

Very interesting prof. I was always amazed at how he would come to class with no prepared notes or very few notes yet was able to fill an hour with useful information all from his head. He obviously has a true love of his subject area. I would take many more classes from him.

Personally I would rather have an older professor who knows absolutely everything about what he is teaching. If you pay attention he is easy to follow along with, if not he usually reviews in the next class what he said last class anyways. Awesome prof!

Everyone is complaining about him mumbling, but I sat at the back of the class and still understood everything. His final is worth a lot but it is not hard. He is funny and extremely knowledgable. You learn a lot just by going to class.

I've taken 3 classes from him. He's very easy to follow once you get over the low voice. The final may be worth a lot but its not hard! (I got 90 on it) I didn't have to do the readings and I still got 90s on my papers! Sitting in front/centre is best.:)

worst class i have ever taken, he mumbles and stuters and forgets what he was talking about and mixes things up, should not be teaching, let him retire already. I couldnt even make notes because you cant unterstand him, I had to drop the class, 70% final
