Took APBI 314 and 398 with Nina, planning to take 315 as well. Attendance is mandatory for her courses but its worth going. One day power was out- instead of cancelling Nina gave her lecture from memory! It was actually the best lecture yet. She's very knowledgable, and approachable. Great to chat with outside of class.

As long as you pay attention in class and are interested in the material, you will do well. The class wasn't traditional in that you didn't have to take a lot of notes and memorize them for exams. Instead it focused on discussions and appreciating both perspectives of controversial issues. A very interesting/fun class.

Nina is an awesome prof! She's really interested in teaching and classes are always interesting and fun. APBI 314 is discussion based, and I found it very easy to participate in class discussion. Nina is so helpful and easily approachable. She really tries her best to accommodate students' schedules. She's the most considerate prof I've had!

Nina was an awesome prof she had presenters come in almost every class who had different specialties in animal welfare ! It was super interesting and the papers are interesting to research and certainly fairly graded! There's no final or midterm but there are two papers for the "midterm" and "final" they are also super interesting!

Take this course!!! The lectures and assignments are super engaging - it's stuff that's applicable to real life not just in the classroom! Nina and Jesse worked wonderfully together!
