Comment:

Noel is a cool dude, very nice but I would not recommend taking him if you want to learn how to program. He doesn't teach much at all, he expects you to learn on your own from the book. The class seemed a little bit tougher than it should have been, that's because he doesn't teach. He makes a lot of mistakes when grading your work.

I took this class during the Summer. I couldn't Imagine taking it during a full semester. I Wouldn't be able to take this class for 4 months. Hes the nicest teacher you could ask for. The quizzes aren't too difficult but you do have to study all the terms religiously.

Very nice but teaches slowly. He is willing to help. The material is very easy. Tests are also very easy. The textbooks are used for the homework. Small class of 30. Doesn't take attendance.

This teacher is very nice just want waaaay too slow. If all you want is easy transfer credits, this is the way to go. However if you are like me and took this class to continue to CMPR 121, DON'T TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! You will start out the first week of 121 already a chapter behind and lacking needed knowledge.

5 T/F Tests 6 assignments. Tests are really easy if you really know computers you do not even need to read the book to receive an A. If you do not know computers you need to read the book. During the Summer session he grades 80% tests, 20% homework... only 6 assignments? all of them very easy and each of his exams each week were true/false questions making this an extremely easy course. You will need The Fundamentals book for the key terms which the exam is based on, you can find the other MS book online for free. Easy class.

REALLY EASY! but if you're like me you also need to take cmpr 121 and dahlen doesn't teach it. Therefore I suggest you take Rainey at SCC. He teaches 120, 121, and 131. He prepares you much more. I took dahlen and almost dropped from Rainey cause I didn't learn much in cmpr 120. Trust me take Rainey. Better professor if you want to learn.

Enjoyed learning the basics of C++. He is very helpful and in depth lectures. Tests are open book. Hw and in class projects are easy if you understand the material and lectures. PAY ATTENTION.

Good teacher!But his lectures r geared 4 beginners: slow, step-by-step, too much explanation for obvious stuff. Very good teacher for a beginner programmer, but his style may seem slow and boring for experienced programmers. Very friendly and helpful. Always answered ?'s, often researching answers outside class if he didn't have answer right away.

Boring teacher with long, uninteresting lectures. He did not explain much when I ask him questions regarding the homework assignments. This guy is not very friendly and practically ignored most of the questions I ask him relating to the subject materials. He is not that great of a teacher as students might think he is.
