Dr. Johnston is an outstanding person and professor. She is such a great educator and she cares about her students and her work. She is always willing to help, she explains things so well, she is challenging, motivational, and inspiring. She is a feminist, but she is also compassionate and very liberal in the way she sees the world. You will learn!

Dr. Johnston is an amazing professor. She's an introvert, so she can come off a little cold, but get to know her. She assigns great stories & novels from different genres. She is very helpful & states everything in her syllabus. She is a feminist, not a man-hater. She is the best English professor at TLU.

Very nice teacher. Lots and lots of class discussions, and quite a lot of reading, too... but the books are pretty good usually. If you show up to class for the discussions, and either read or skim or get some cliff notes, you'll be in pretty good shape.

Dr. Johnston is so nice and very smart. She's a good professor to take if you are not an English major. In her lower-level classes, she takes the texts down to a very basic and easy-to-understand level--even Faulkner. 5 stars!
