Her lectures are very fast and she talks extremely fast. Overtime you get used to it and its not too hard to follow. Always available for help outside of the lecture and knows the material extremely well. Seems cold in the beginning but she is very helpful once you get talking to her and working with her more. Study and do the hw and pay attention

Kistler's lectures are fast-paced and her handwriting is pretty bad, so you have to pay attention to what she's saying. She also assigns homework every class. Her tests require that you actually know your stuff but she's a very fair grader. Answers questions and is available outside of class for help. Gives extra credit if you need it. Don't skip.

She is a tough grader, but that is because she is always willing to help you. Teaching is her passion, and she is serious about learning. I loved having her as my professor, even if her class was very challenging at times

Writes and talks very fast; be prepared to pay attention at all times and keep good notes. If you miss anything, it will be your undoing. Hard tests, fair graders, attention to detail on calculations is a must. She will help you outside of class if you struggle, will look over your HW and help. 100% invested in you passing. Sweet woman, tough face.

Dr. Kistler is a great professor. Extremely intelligent and passionate about chemistry. She is a true college professor though, she does not take attendance because if you miss one lecture youre all but screwed. Class is very challenging. Be prepared to take fast notes. I recomend the live scribe or atleast some recorder. With out, id have failed

Bad teacher - I didn't learn much of anything from her and her tests are very difficult. She expects you to know everything and does not give clear explanations. Also gives homework every class and her quizzes are quite difficult.

Always sighs loudly and gives dirty look when you ask her a question. Very discouraging. In class she goes over things so fast you don't have time to think, too busy trying to write it all down. Moves very fast. More than half the class dropped out, and 20% is failing. Teaching isn't her thing.

Dr. Kistler is a very caring person- a strict professor who will make you work VERY hard for your grades- but a nice person. Never be afraid to ask questions- she will be more than happy to help you. She talks very loudly, but don't let that frighten you. She is one of this college's best staff by far.

Dr. Kistler knows what she is talking about so I'll give her that much but she is not very good at explaining the material, she talks way too fast and she has some of the worst hand writing I've ever seen and had to interpret. Not my favorite professor.

knows her stuff! speaks quickly, but if you copy everything she puts on the board she's always happy to clarify if you catch her in her office- even when it's not 'office hours'. i found colored pencils for some images in the notes and recording the lectures to be helpful.

I took Dr. Kistler back in 2001 and 2002. She was by far the best and most dynamic chemistry professor I have ever had. She inspired me to become a chemistry major. I transferred and had it not been for the strong background I recieved in her class, I would have been lost. Lots of homework, but the fact that she hand grades them with comments a
