Comment:

I personally loved Dr. Sadler as a prof. If you attended her classes, the material was very clear and straightforward. The in-class essays (which came out to be worth 45% of the final grade) were a great way to get a high mark in the class, and were pretty easy to study for. Very nice and welcoming prof, would gladly take one of her classes again.

Good Prof. Boring Lectures - don't worry about missing a few of them. She is intelligent and well educated. Content is very straight forward and sometimes even interesting. Essay based quizzes make up 45% of your mark (easy). Midterm and Final are mixes of mc and short answer.

Comment:

This is a prof who is truly concerned about giving you a well rounded experience. Lots of demonstrations, videos and guest speakers, which contribute to a wider knowledge base and varied perspectives. Lots of testing, but if you keep up with the readings and attend lectures you'll do just fine. Overall, this course enhanced my interest in the area!

Comment:

She has an incredible amount of practical experience as a real working psychologist and shared this with the class. Exams are hard and take material from both lectures and textbook. You need to attend class, pay attention and read the text book; in other words, do exactly what you are supposed to do. I loved this class. Very responsive to feedback.

I agree. Psych grads, I highly recommend that you speak to her old grad students. Not one person stays with this prof. Don't take her classes! She should be fired. Also, she breaches confidentiality. She should have her license taken away.

Graduate students beware! Do not accept a graduate offer from this supervisor; unless you want you love for psychology to be driven to the ground. She lacks perspective taking and suffers from a superiority complex. No one, not even published authors, is considered to be adequate by her. She enslaves her graduate and is extremely unappreciative.

Another professor that reads her slides verbatim and gives them to you prior to class. But she has blanks for you fill out to keep you coming to class. Should that be the only reason to come? She can't answer questions well. Exam was a complete surprise based on material taught in a different class. Horrible experience.

I was pretty disappointed in her abilities as a prof. She basically read from her slides in class, and if you asked for extra help she was very condescending and unhelpful. She doesn't provide a lot of information to learn, but still make the exams diffcult by putting material on them that was not learned in class. Overall, thumbs down.

Not every doctor can teach. This is a classic case. I think all university professors should take courses on how to teach students!!! Be prepared to do a lot of work on your own time because you won't learn anything in class and she won't be that helpful either!

I got an A in this class with no thanks to the prof. She is the most insecure teacher I ever had. Her ability to relate to students is non-existent. She is easily frustrated by students who have problems and becomes very impatient! She should not be allowed to come in contact with students.
