Comment:

Not bad if you play your cards right! Youre supposed to read before class so you can participate (there is a participation grade). However, if you just skim through the key points in the chapter you should be fine! Study the key terms and info mentioned in the power points before the tests! As long as you go to class and talk, shell like you.

Very tough grader!!!! I felt so stressed out about each . Keep in mind that she does not provide any study guides . Sometimes she can be very rude . She does not have an ability to inspire or encourage instead as some other students said " she makes you feel stupid ". I feel very disappointed about her .

I've had 5 classes with professor Zeiser. She is clear in what she expects from you. She's an absolutely wonderful and sweet person who wants to see her students to succeed and to think critically. Notably, for her classes you NEED to read and participate in lectures. Her classes are writing intensive, but prepare you for life after college.

Dr. Zeiser is a good. The info is easy to understand & she answers q's readily. The thing I don't like: there is an incredible lot of reading to do & the tests sometimes cover 7 ch's & she doesn't provide a study guide. DO read every word assigned, the tests contain obscure q's buried in the readings . She does give xtra credit on tests.

She can be redundant, making class feel like first grade. She is a tough grader (like you're a Ph.D student), will give a 0 if thesis or citation isn't perfect! Is available during office hours, but has tendency to talk down to you; she can make you feel stupid. Dropped entire letter grade because didn't participate 'enough'! She is knowledgeable.

Great professor! Really knows her stuff and takes time to help students. Not a TON of reading or tests, but just show up and take good notes! Tests pretty much come straight from the reading and notes. Kind of a tough grader but is straight forward with what she expects. Will be taking again.

Her class is out of 100 points, the points that you lose gets subtracted and the number that is left is your grade. She was very helpful to me, esp when i thought I was failing, I didn't do good on all the exams. If you work hard for your grade then you should do fine.

Really good teacher in terms of enthusiasm and knowledge, but her approaches to both grading and, well, just being human are horrible. She has her own dinky little book that is used for class. Not enough of them existed for the number of kids in the course. The ones who paid for the book, but never got it failed the class and she didn't care.

Very tough grader, tests are made up mostly of short answer Qs and she wants very specific answers! She'll give you an F on a paper if she doesn't like your thesis statement. Real big on participation points and attendance! Made me feel like I was in a 9th grade class. Don't take her unless you LOVE the subject.

Great professor very clear about what she expects from you. She is tough on citations but this is stuff that u should know by now, and if u don't then feel lucky that she's making you learn it because you'll use it through out college. Make sure to keep up with readings and take notes during discussions. Pam is a fun lecturer def engages the class.

Do NOT take Zeiser unless you have to. Tough, requires too much reading yet the exam asks for irrelevant information. OBSESSED with MLA/APA format. If you don't do it correctly or have a thesis statement, you receive a 0 for all work. Definitely favors certain students and unless you're participating all the time, you won't do well.

Summing up Zeiser is simple-- Tough but fair. She clearly outlines everything and is very precise. The tests are pretty hard, and she expected a lot (too much) from the movie essay. I would avoid her if you do not have a Political Science or International Studies major.

Excellent teacher. Teaches using PPT, but not reading from directly and makes the class interesting. Attending the class and doing the req'd reading made the test easy. The textbook was helpful. I recommend her and would take her again.

Great Professor. Interesting lecturer, always willing to help. Multiple choice/true false exams are not easy, but not overly difficult either. One paper to write which was an easy grader. Dr. Zeiser is the best prof in the Political Science Department. I highly recommend her.
