Very funny teacher. The homework he gives is very similar to the tests. A lot of his labs/hw is busy work. Highly recommend.

He doesn't really teach. He just solves the problem on his own and expects us to copy and learn. He is funny, but his instruction was not clear at all. You have to really study for his tests to do well and beware of the way he words his problems on tests because they may be completely different than what he teaches (or rather doesnt). funny guy tho

I got an A in this class but god, everytime i went to this class I left in a sour mood bc of how annoying this man is. Like can he pls be a serious professor? Can he have a resource that ISN'T word problems on a page that you go over? His lack of seriousness prevented me from taking this class seriously. Easy A but I wouldn't take him again. no.

I withdrew from the same math class twice with different professors. Professor Sales was AWESOME though and because of his teachings, I passed. I was actually happy to go a math class! Just do the homework (won't pass if you don't) and study the material. I also went to tutoring at the tutoring center as well as with Professor Sales. I recommend.

Comment:

Mr. Sales is funny but... DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH MATH!! He moves very fast because of the quarter system. He has a thick accent which makes him hard to understand. Quizzes/Tests every week. You have to print out a huge packet that you use throughout the quarter for his lessons. All homework is turned in through an online program.

Comment:

Mr Sales cares more about making jokes than teaching in a clear concise manner. He moves through material way too fast and if you ask him to repeat something he repeats it just as fast as he did the first time. I didn't get the impression he cared if I understood what he was talking about. I would not take or recommend him for any future classes.

I absolutely LOVE this man!! I have learned so much from him this quarter and have a passing grade so far! I am sure I will pass his class. Just have to show up don't miss a day and do all the homework and your good! His lessons are great!

I've never had a good math teacher and he was the first. Best math teacher, he makes sure you understand everything and even goes through problems before taking a test or quiz. He's hilarious and seems rude at first but really is always joking around. Loved this professor and would recommend him to others.

Comment:

Sales is a great professor! He has weekly quizzes/tests, but they're usually very easy as long as you pay attention. He updates grades after every exam so you know where you're at. Funny guy, entertaining class. His class is a little fast-paced, but he's patient if you have to ask questions so that's not a problem. Would definitely recommend.

EXTREMELY likable and fun. However, class moves very fast (by necessity with the quarter system), and you must take initiative and get into the book and excellent course materials (lots of online videos and tutorials) on your own. He works with individuals in a lab, but class time is more for clarification than teaching.

He is a very great professor, He as a good humor in class but jokes around a lot which is a down side. The only problem I had is the Online program EnableMath. Tests and quizzes are straight from the homework, Even shows you 2 or 3 problems from the test to practice.

My problem isn't with Sales, he's great, though as previously mentioned he does go over things pretty fast. The enablemath program is the worst though, problems with logging in and vague examples. With no book used I spent most of my studying on Khan Academy.

Sales is a nice, funny guy. If you are sensitive you may not like his sense of humor though. He goes very fast and I would NOT recommend this class unless you have a very strong understanding of what was taught in 210. 5 quizzes, 4 tests and a final. No text book required, just enablemath website access.
