Seems ok in class, grades speech like English Composition. Speaking is not her emphasis and she does little to model what she says is required. Avoid this teacher if possible; just look at the sylabus to see how she describes her intentions to fail you. She means it!

Very good teacher. I could not speak at all, now i really enjoy speaking. She expects a lot and gives a lot to her students. Always helpful. Called her several times at home, always nice and helpful.

LOVED THE CLASS! Everyone told me how mean and hard she was but i found that out not to be true at all, Mrs. Sorsby expects to be respected for you to show up and for you to do your work (just like any other teacher)! She is very nice and helpful... Would definately take the class again!

she's unorganized. sometimes absent minded...and sometime a little unclear, but it's not a hard class..if you review for the few test. listen in class. you'll do fine. i would take her again.

So nice! Before the class I was told by everyone how mean and hard she was. Not the case at all! I got an A on every speech. If you do your work and are respectful towards her, you'll be fine

The class was horrible. Sorsby is terrible at speaking in public herself, and definately doesn't need to be teaching a speech class. She prefers speeches with no creativity whatsoever, and often criticizes those with some imagination.
