Comment:
Latin is hard, but Dr. Graham-Skoul is a GEM. She is very helpful, kind, passionate, and accommodating. There are a lot of small tests in this class, but they actually help a lot in keeping you up on the material. They make the long tests much easier and show clear development over the semester.

Dr. Graham-Skoul is amazing! She's very passionate about the topics she covers, and appreciates extensive in class discussions. This was a writing intensive course, but there were only 5 short papers. Her lectures can be a little boring, but she's one of the kindest professors I've had, and she's very lenient. I would 100% reccomend taking her!

As someone who never took a Latin class in HS, I was worried about this class being too hard, but she is amazing about answering all questions and will give detailed responses. SUPER sweet and her class is very enjoyable especially if everyone participates! There's lots of HW but its very easy, 10/10 would recommend.

Patricia is very nice, helpful, and lenient. Her lectures are hard to keep up with, so don't bother to try taking notes. Fortunately, the material doesn't appear on tests. Tests are long, but very easy. She loves detail, but if you read the materials, tests should be an easy A. She gives lots of partial credit. Participation is a big part of class

She doesn't stick to the syllabus and she is a very strict grader. This class was not easy and ended up taking up way too much of my time. Don't take unless absolutely necessary. One good thing though: she'll give you any kind of extension you want.

DO NOT take unless you major in classical studies/literature. this prof seems to have forgotten that going to college includes taking OTHER classes than just hers. ridiculous study guides that are NO help, pointless projects and insane grading on exams. dont. take it. on the up side, she is the nicest lady you will ever meet.

Pay attention in class and ask questions. Ask for a review session before the exams and she will map out the entire exam out for you. She grades the term paper pretty hard, but if you visit her during office hours, she will tell you exactly what is wrong with it.

Class is fairly easy, but you need to occasionally pay attention. If you ask her for a study session (which you should) she'll basically let you know what to go over specifically on the test. But beware the term paper, she's a paper nazi disguised as an older woman.

She is a really nice woman and a passionate teacher. The tests are not easy as they require quite a bit of detail. Lectures tended to drag, but overall it was an enjoyable class.

Very nice teacher, reminds me of a grandma. She's very passionate about the epics, and could go on for hours talking about it. Sometimes boring, i would def recommend and keep up with the readings. it sucks trying to read an epic in a whole weekend. 1 Paper, 2 group projects, 3 tests and a final. Willing to help out, overall nice class.

She knows her mythology but her powerpoints are not well-made: she would write an entire essay on one slide, which is not what powerpoints are supposed to do. But she is a very capable professor and willing to help everyone out. She also tries to get to know every student.

Professor Graham tends to be a little disorganized at times but this class was really not that (considering it was a history class). There were very few dates to memorize. This class does have a lot of reading however. Do not bother buying the history text. Stick to the literature books. Her tests are primarily essay so you better like to write.

She is a little scatter-brained at times, but the class was easy enough for me. She gives a ton of E.C. on tests & quizzes. There is a quiz basically every week, but they are very easy. She was a pretty easy A but was sometimes confusing and boring to listen to.

Don't buy the history books - stick only to the poetry books! She's a very nice, very smart lady but her expectations are a little too much for students who aren't Classics majors! Tests aren't bad. Read the poems and her power points and you'll do fine. She compromises very well and is extremely kind and pleasant to listen to.

Very nice and enthusiastic teacher. Lots of reading. Classwork is relatively easy, but the tests are extremely hard and there is pretty much no chance of passing.

You better like Sappho. There is more papers than both writing intensive classes i have taken. The end of the year was rushed. Hard grading scale to boot. Putting in lots of time doesn't correspond to a good grade. Also test are based on other 's group project material.
