I wonder why some say Matthews is smart ? She does not know what she's talking about. Very weak knowledge on finance, teaching something one way today, different way tomorrow, and come up with 2 different answers. If you are a good student, you will know she has troubles with finance, especially when doing the problems.

Matthews is extremely difficult but also very helpful to students. I am a finance major so this concepts came a little more natural, but when I didn't understand something, she was always willing to sit down with you. She truly WANTS you to succeed and gets upset if you don't come in for help. She is kind of scatterbrained but she is busy.

She really knows what she's doing, and she goes very, very fast. If you blink the entire board will be full of notes. But she always seemed willing to help if you needed...you just have to pay attention & make an effort.

Writes on board at lightning speed! Don't blink! Exams are unreasonable for time allotted-VERY STRESSFUL. Routinely late. Final takes 4 hours and a case study is due at final AND the day AFTER. Big failure rate. She knows her stuff TOO WELL and pushes too hard and fast. Finance conc. only for her!

VERY HARD. Gives alot of information on the tests and you only have short amount of time to complete it. Flys through the material, she's smart and knows what shes doing, but dont expect to breeze or sleep through her class.

Take BA 320 during the summer. It was a lot easier having to deal with one class then with 4 or 5 other classes as well. She helps you out a lot more as well and is more laid back. Think aboutit

Ok, Matthews has a scary reputation and her classes are not cake, but she is not as bad as people make her out to be. She is VERY SMART and knows what she's talking about. Work hard and she'll love you.
