Professor Payne is truly an intelligent, passionate, and inspiring professor. Yes, there is a lot of work to do in her class but there is a method to the madness. Her teaching and guidance allowed me to have a new appreciation for the history, and the processes of the law. She inspired me to be more engaged in my government and Im truly thankful.

Taking the LSAT soon. And when I think back to how I got here, I cannot help but remember my Constitutional Law course at MCC as instructed by Professor Patricia Payne, JD. Enduring the challenge of POS231, as instructed by her truly prepared me for my studies as a Political Science major at a the State University I now attend. Forever grateful.

A textbook will be recommended, but I personally didn't use mine and got perfect scores on 3 of the 4 exams (and a 95% on the other). Fantastic instructor with relevant, interesting lectures, but if you skip class or don't pay attention, you will NOT pass! Excited to be taking this professor again, but for Constitutional Law!

she's simply an amazing professor. do the readings, work hard study, REALLY DO THE READINGS (don't just read summaries online, because she can tell!), come to class prepared, analyze the cases, apply the concepts, and you'll do fine. She's by far one of my favorite professors at MCC, by far.

GET READY TO READ A LOT. She is simply awesome. She loves teaching, but she is a tough grader. You have to read cases to pass. There are 4 to 5 open-ended questions in every exam and quizzes. She will assign at least 3 to 5 cases per week, so be prepared. If you want to go into law, she will help you in every way possible. Do the work and get an A

Professor Payne is BOMB. she is so sweet and very helpful. as long as you attend her class and listen (Read the book on your own time) and study you will pass her class with no problem. she social and likeable. she does tell personal stories but that is also what makes her interesting and not boring. the class is not all lecture. Great proff. People say that she was a waste because of her stories. All you had to do was PAY ATTENTION. Take every note she said about CJU. She was easy and told us what to study for the exams. The exams were VERY EASY. She barely gave out homework. I got an A just by paying attention. Also she is a great personal all around
