He's a good guy, but this is an incredibly boring and easy subject. Does have a quiz each week on the required reading so you have to show up for that. He does take the time to explain projects if your unclear on what he wants from you.

I had a slight interest in some of the topics before the course, but it was fairly boring. Not because of Patrick, he was actually a pretty cool guy. And I didn't mind the actual class. It's just that the subject isn't that interesting. Although the content is somewhat useful. The course was also pretty easy if you read the text.

Boring, boring, boring. Uses outdated material, doesn't like to change it. Dislikes having his facts challenged. Marks work holistically, not by assigning point totals. Easy to get along with, if you can live with all the little things he wants you to do, and if you don't mind the assignments being a little unclear. Annoying course anyways.

I'm sitting here in his class typing up this review instead of listening to him... does that say much about the class? Boring, but easy. Just read the text and you'll be fine. Also, watch out for any COMPSCI geeks that know too much about the course to actually be taking it.

Patrick is the easiest 'A' on campus. Seems out of touch with the current or recent CompSci field. Lectures are outdated and unprepared. Does not reply to emails. Every semester he blames an 'email server problem' for his tardy marking/email communication. Although people accept the excuse because he is an easy marker.
