Comment:

Patsy is a terrible teacher. She's disorganized, unclear, and repeatedly tells you how simple the subject matter is when it really isn't. She's a hard marker, not helpful, and doesn't really care about teaching or her students. I would recommend avoiding Patsy at all costs.

Comment:

Having received 80's in 343 and tax, I was shocked when I bombed this midterm. She said that if we followed the methods she does in class we'd be fine, I was getting all practice questions right but then the midterm had a huge trick question that most of the class bombed. The exam was not a true reflection of the classes consolidation skills.

Did not teach in class at all, does everything different compared to the text book, expected to remember every little detail from past acct classes, rather rude to students who have questions in class, did not even hand out course evaluations at the end of the semester. Only cares about her personal acct company, and caresless about studuents

I found her to be really lazy. She doesn't teach anything during lectures. All she does is do questions from the textbook without really explaining anything while expecting you to remember everything from past accounting courses. Questions on final are nothing like the practice ones. Pretty sure a huge majority of the class bombed it. Condolences.

Pretty sure I failed. She teaches you a method that is different than the textbook so you can't really compare your answers to the textbook unless you get them bang on. She tells you that if you follow her steps that you will be okay for the exam but her test questions were nothing like we've ever seen before. Avoid her, but you don't have a choice

Pretty tough class with a lot of details to keep in track of. Patsy rushes through class, assumes we remember things from 341/343. I didn't a learn a single thing in class, had to teach myself. But the textbook actually does a decent job of explaining. In her defense, this is not an easy class to teach.

It was her first time teaching this course, I think, and it showed. I basically dragged myself to class just to get answers to the the problems and not much else. Not that she teaches much. Most people around me were really confused during the "lectures" and the class averages... dismal, haha.

rushes through class. had to get by with my friends teaching me. everything what the person below be is correct. doesnt answer questions in office hours(and she wonders why no one goes)shouldnt be teaching to be honest with you. worst prof at u of c. didnt even post the suggested problems til midway through the semester.

Absolutely worst prof I've ever had in uni! Refused to answer my questions in office hours. She basically goes through Wayne's notes and writes down the answer key with no calculations or no reasoning to it. If I wanted to pay $600 for an answer key, I'd take it online. Teaching is her second job and she gives priority to her clients over students.

A very charismatic prof who is genuine and approachable to those who are willing to do the work. Success in her class comes from self motivation, adequate reading of all chapters and doing the practice questions assigned. This is not an easy course, however can be very interesting to explore. I enjoyed Patsy, she provides all the tools for success.

Even I'm international student ,my English sucks and I hate accounting, I like being in her class. Great personalities, interesting, never appear to be not patient when students ask stupid questions in class. I think this prof is very good, she goes through many practise questions in class and gives a clear view of what will be on the midterm and finals, She is willing to help out anyone who needs it. If you read the textbook and do all the practise questions, you can do very well. I would highly reccomend her

Although she teaches the material well, I feel that she goes much too fast and includes far too many concepts on exams. The concepts on the exams are nothing like the ones covered in class and in recommended problems. Very vague about what will be on exams. Text is important. Would not recommend.

horrible horrible horrible.horrible. avoid . save your money. PLS do not take this class with her. She did not teach me anything. I learned straight from teh text book. She cancels class for no reason and is obviously unprepared. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Easy to understand. Great personality. Lets face it accounting isnt supposed to be a fun class, but shes always got a smile on her face and in a good mood which sets a great learning atmosphere. One of my favorite profs yet.
