Easy grader, nice guy, but class is incredibly boring. Very hard to listen to when introducing projects, about half the class falls asleep normally. If you can handle the boredom, your golden.

Paul DeLong was my printmaking professor many years ago [late 1980s] during my undergraduate years. This included lithography, screen printing, etching & many independant study classes. He was awesome, very kind, considerate and helpful. How difficult? That is up to the student: you get out of it what you put into it. One of Stout's best!

Paul was a nice and easy going guy. He grades easy if that is what you are looking for but otherwise he didn't really teach. Much preferred to joke with the students or sit in the back with his laptop. Projects are pretty fun though and you have a lot of creative freedom.

Although he's a nice teacher, he doesn't teach you a whole lot, if anything. He assigns pretty useless projects, such as making a distortion using your face and a tropical beach background. He doesn't offer too many suggestions on how to improve. If you want to improve your drawing skills, take a different teacher.

Paul is a cool professor. Had him for drawing 2. He doesn't really teach you "how to draw" (which can be bad), but instead he lets you explore on your own (which can be good!). Personable, nice, grades on progression rather than skill. Overall, I would recommend him!

I had him for Drawing II and he's a chill guy, and when I say chill, I mean he sits and talks to people in class...it's funny when he swears. He grades more on progression than completion. I loved this class, I recommend taking him if you can.

I took him for screen printing. Awesome teacher, is willing to help. Has a great sense of humor and loves the humorous/weird prints. Knows his stuff. I highly recommend in taking him if possible!

Great teacher, had him for 2 classes and I did well despite my lack of talent. Unlike most teachers he recegnizes the effort you put in as well as the end result. Gives very helpful feedback and good direction when it comes to projects but doesnt push you to do what he wants. Tends to ramble for hours but you will get a lot out of it.

I think Paul is a great teacher. He's humorous and encourages students to explore their own path. He is never harsh or mean, but he gives great feedback and suggestions on how to improve. I enjoyed this class, even though it was a lot of work. I felt it was worth it.

DeLong is Awesome! I loved printmaking, because DeLong taught me forget about controlling my work, but learn to allow my work to just happen sometimes. I hope to take him in the future
