I asked for help because I was struggling with his tests despite studying my butt off. I lived an hour away from all campuses and had a full time job so I asked for more online resources and he told me I clearly don't have time for the class and brushed off my request for help. I had to drop or I would have failed.

He is smart professor, and he is very challenging. I believe if we want to learn math in a good way, this professor is the best. I was happy taking this course because he answered my questions fast and he was willing to help any time.

WORST PROFESSOR IVE TAKEN THUS FAR. DOESNT ALLOW CALCULATORS ON MATH TRIG TESTS! LIKE OOO WHATS THE SIN OF 58.3? GOOD LUCK IF U TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR GRADE. The only good thing is that the professor responds to emails quickly. The due dates are all over the place, they don't have set dates every week. The quizzes are nothing like the homework. There's no notes or calculators for the testing center part of the test. Unless you memorize your notes at home you won't pass this class. Do not take this prof!

I've taken plenty of online classes and all of them were easy. This one is ridiculous. The homework and quizzes are completely different from each other. The book is USELESS. The test has two parts, one at home, and the other at a Valencia, for the campus test there are no calculators or notes allowed. Only way to pass is with online hw and quizzes

He's the least helpful math professor I've ever had. Expect 2-3 quizzes a week, and two exams every 3 weeks. Trick questions throughout, and subject matter not covered in the book. Expect to fail, even if you're good at math.

pretty hard tests, which makes the final a bit easy. expect to study a lot. Best tool to use are the videos in mymathlab, if you ask him questions he will reply back promptly.

Precalculus class- this class is terrible. I love online classes, love to read the book and practice the problems. But this class: the tests are nothing like the homework or quizzes you take. No calculator allowed at all. There's no preparation for the tests. Homework and quizzes are MML which is the only way to pass the class.

RUN AWAY !!! I loved math my whole life and (No Thanks) to Mr Fernandez changed my mind about it . Previous comments are right about him not helping ,When you ask him a question his answer "Read the book". He expect that you have no life, job or other classes ,so you will get around 90 question plus 2-3 quizzes WEEKLY .

I Asked professor a simple question to explain something even if it was with another example and he responded that he can not answer for me... When clearly I was asking for a example.. sadly if you think an online class will give you more time it won't, especially if the teacher does not care get ready to spend time figuring things out on your own.

I do not recommend taking an online trigonometry class, unless you have an insane amount of time available to glue yourself to the book. I am usually very good at math, but I struggled to even get a B this time. The professor did encourage me to talk to him if I had any problems, though, so it's not his fault. This class would be better as hybrid.

The class itself and the homework is easy if you read the textbook. Online classes for math require self teaching. The math program, Maple TA, regularly crashes, even during tests on campus. And you have to pay careful attention to the questions because each answer has to be submitted in a different way.

Took this class online & thought it was going to be a breeze. There is lots of reading and examples to help you. No textbook but you will need the Labcode. All tests are at the testing center. Each test has a section with a calculator and one without, so know your stuff. This professor is very communicative and sends lots of emails.

The online class was very easy to navigate, my class used the MML code. The reading was okay - but the videos were really what helped. The professor was available for help if stuck, but also recommended some great website that gave more examples. The study guides and pp's helped w/ tests and you can can take an optional final to raise your grade.

Prof. Paul Fernandez is the most caring Prof. I have ever met!!! You can take your quizzes twice and highest grade count!!! Study guide is very helpful!!! Always answers your questions...IT's an online class, the best!!! He is always there for you!!!
