Comment:
So many derivations I feel like so much time was wasted in lecture on pointless derivations. Difficult class, however he is very willing to help if you make an effort to talk to him or come to office hours. In the end, he outs a very nice curve on everything so don't be afraid

To him everything is trivial. He say this is trivial every time he starts a new topic so you look dumb if you don't get it. And you don't want to ask question because apparently it is trivial. You can drop one one of the midterms if you do well on the final but the final is impossible. And oh, there are pop quizzes in lecture so don't miss class.

Those who complain that Ruden does no examples should try opening their book. I thought he did a good job of explaining things and was very helpful whenever I had a question for him. His "pop" quizzes were a nice bonus for attending class too because he usually dropped hints that one was coming.

Refuses to do examples even when directly asked to do so by a large portion for the class. Lectures only proofs which are not necessary to understand the material.

Turned me away from his office hours, does no examples in class, only proofs, tests are fair. But it is hard to know what to expect with the lack of useful examples.
