I really enjoyed this class. If you pay attention by following along and taking notes, it is not too difficult of a class. He also typically ends class about ten to twenty minutes early so students can sit with him and ask specific questions. His exams can be tricky, but if you have studied and payed attention, you will do great.

There is no homework but if you want to know how to do things his way, which is how he wants his tests, you need to show up. He can be really confusing sometimes and can be slightly careless. I like him because I'm bad at homework but good on test but his teaching style isn't for everyone.

If you are not an accounting major do not take him. He does not explain how you get to answers. He basically goes through the motions. He methods in class that are not in the book then expects you to know how to do it the book way for the exams. I feel like he is trying to trick you.

He is a really good teacher if you are an accounting major. Not sure if I would recommend him for a beginners course if you are not into accounting. However, I think he prepares you really well for the CPA exam and pushes you to the limit. His class separates the accounting majors from the slackers! Overall I love this teacher!

Schloemer takes little to no time to actually explain material in class. He literally spends half the time in class he is required to; therefore, not taking time to teach us, which is what we pay for. He knows the material, but it is his duty to teach it and explain, help us. He clearly does not do this. Tenure is the problem here.

I had him for Financial Accounting and if you have never taken accounting then you do not want him it will be very hard. He is akward but will help. His tests always have tricky things on them. Always do your homework!

Sometimes boring because he is awkward at times and doesnt talk - no homework required, but you should do it if you want to do good on the tests - the tests are hard and he usually puts some tricky stuff on them - he is glad to help in office hours

Dr. Schloemer doesn't normally teach 100 level classes, so his expectations may be a little high. He assigns every exercise for every chapter, which is significantly more than other professors, but you learn a lot. The class really isn't that hard if you pay attention and take notes or read the book.

His class made me change my major from accounting to something else. His tests were hard and the homeworks sucked. He didn't require attendance in class though, so that was nice. Also, the big project we had for the class was an easy A.
