Get the book. Attempt the HW and turn it in, he will give you the answers next class. There are only a few tests so keep all of your work. There is a class long project with a presentation at the end. He is a dry fellow. Most of the time you won't know whats going on, and that's ok because 95% of the class doesn't either. You will pass if you try.

I have taken 4 classes so far with Dr. Soule. He knows what he is talking about. As long as you pay attention in class and take notes it is easy to grasp and understand. He gives extra credit on homework and curves the tests. He lets you know what to expect from the start, and doesn't do anything to catch you off guard. Good quality teacher.

I have taken 2 classes with Soule and I have enjoyed them both. YES he is a bit confusingunclear at times, but if you make an effort and try on the homework, study what you did wrong and study your test that you GET BACK, you'll do fine. Plus if you only miss 2 classes he curves your grade up 2%!! Can also get 2 points extra credit on each HW.

His class is straightforward. You have to be able to teach yourself and retain the information. As long as you're good at memorizing, you will be fine. Take good notes. His style of teaching takes awhile to get used to, but once you're used to it, you'll be okay. His final is 40% of your grade. That's a little stressful, but just study.

I had a terrible time with this instructor. If you're agile with math then you wont suffer too much but for those of us who aren't, this was a nightmare. Very rude and passive aggressive, very impatient with struggling students, and somewhat grumpy. I was warned by 90% of his former students not to take his course, I should have listened.

At first, I didn't know what in the world he was talking about. He put so many numbers on the board... However, If you write down what he writes, and do the homework, you should easily pass the exams. His exams are very similar to the homework. If you study the homework, you should get an A. No joke. It took me an hour to study for his exams :D

At first he seems a little TOUGH, but in the end he really is easy! I think if you take his course, just read the manual he gives you! His tests are open book, closed notes, but i loved that part! The paper is stressful, but you have time to do it until the final! Good luck! He's tough, but I liked the course!

IF THIS CLASS IS NECESSARY FOR YOUR MAJOR TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. PETER SOULE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY....IF THE UNIVERSITY CARED ABOUT ITS STUDENTS THEY WOULD GET RIDE OF HIM SOON!!
