He's a really sweet, good guy. Very knowledgeable about history. Takes attendance, but excuses you with decent reasons provided. Quizzes always take home. He's humble and quiet. Final grade in the course was a little off, but other than that, good course.

Must have gotten harder from the previous year with grading. Took him thinking it would be the easier of the PDO and teachers and came out ripping everyone's essays. I used almost the same essays as previous years and got ten points lower. Not to mention, I was a 4.0 student prior to this class.

One of the easiest IH classes if u take it with Hoffer. Lets u use ur book and notes on quizzes and gives u the essay question on the exam in advance, plus u can go to him w/ur essay and he'll basically tell u what to write for it.

PDO: I LOVE this man. He lets you use your text book during quizzes, grades easier than most professors, and is just an incredibly nice man. People say he's boring, but if you actually pay attention he's interesting. He's also organized. Gives you an accurate syllabus and study guides to help you out.

Kinda...actually a very boring class but Hoffer is such a nice old man. His exams and quizzes are pretty easy. Say with fail u with more than 3 unexcused absences but doesnt cause he's that nice!

Takes attendance so u have to attend class. Overall, PDO was easy, with only 3 exams and some quizzes here and there. It's easy to get an A on the exams. He is a nice guy and I actually learned alot from his lectures.
