By far one of the worst professors at Fairfield. If you are not good at math do not take him because in order to get a good grade you will basically have to teach all the material to yourself.

Spoerri is the number one worst teacher I have ever had the misfortune to be in class with. He has no idea what he is talking about at all. Had to go to his office hours four times with questions on an assignment and he had no idea how to do it. Expects students to know things that he does not teach. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS under ANY circumstances

Absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had ever in my entire life. Does not teach anything. Expects you to understand what you're doing without explaining anything whatsoever. Such an unbelievably awful teacher. Not helpful, either. When I asked him a question he said "not my problem" and refused to help. Do NOT take his class.

absolutely awful teacher. Over half of the class pays to go to a tutor and he's mean on top of it. Cancels office hours all the time and does not teach at all you need to teach yourself and then he does a few of the homework problems on the bored. worst teacher I've ever had.

He is a very nice guy but is not clear when at the board. He has some really funny stories and this is the famous professor with the heart condition (if you've heard of him)! I recommend taking him only if you have to for a major. Granted, this was an intro math course, but I can't imagine him being much better in another setting.

Do NOT take this class if you honestly want to learn something about programming. The book is not very good and the lectures are boring and a struggle to follow. If your looking for an easy grade though you've got one, just do the journals and tests are open computer, I ended up using google and learning on the spot. Still, would not recommend.

not a good professor if you will be exposed to the material the first time. he hands out weekly programs and expects you to complete them using your text book. he never lectures so you will not have any notes to help you out. class time is not useful. most of the class struggled

The Professor could not effectively communicate the material during the entire semester. There ended up being only 2 or 3 people out of 25 that had an understanding of the material. The class average grade was so low that the professor had to curve the grades sometimes as much as 30 points.

Take this class if you want a good grade, not if you want to learn about programming. Lectures are boring. His deep voice will put you to sleep. Just do all your journals on time and you will probably get an A. I can't say anything bad about him. He's a nice guy, however odd.

Goofy as hell, but he knows everything there is to know about the subject. Never a penalty for late assignments, midterm and final are open book (and easy!), weekly journals and homework problems can boost you to an A. Do everything, guaranteed an A. Kinda an oddball.

Very very nice guy. Allows students to slack and turn in assignments late. Lectures aren't too helpful, but he'll sit next to you and troubleshoot any programs you're having trouble with. He's also very upfront about his grading curve. A bit kooky.
