Took this class as an elective. I would recommend taking the course with someone else. Peter is an upper level teacher and his tests were very hard. however, course content was quite interesting. Tutorials are super easy just do the work even though it is redundant .

Very boring class! All Stahl does is teach from the textbook and I didn't find his powerpoints or lectures helpful. If he did post his powerpoints online, then i can bet NO ONE would come to class.2- 10 page papers were a lot, but an easy grade. TA's were good and exams were fair, but didnt even cover half of the material. Average quality.

Not what I had expected at all! The class has two ten page papers which have many sub-parts and aren't the easiest of topics to discuss. Only two tests, (non-cumulative)which are both very difficult. What we were told wasn't important for the midterm made up many parts. Not an easy gen-ed! Attendance isn't mandatory, and we watch a lot of movies

Everyone else who commented probably failed 111. Easy class. My TA didn't know English and I still did well. Didn't get below a 97 on an essay. Tests were some of the easiest of my two years at Bing. Everyone else...is brain dead.

oh god it was so boring but i liked the videos we watched. the test is mad long with essays and definitions. attendance is mandatory for the discussion class. 2 10pg essays graded by the TA. this is a class where u would most likely fall asleep in lectures.

Apparently he doesn't usually teach this course, and I can see why. His lectures are absurdly boring, and he is by far the most indifferent professor on campus. His midterms are ridiculously long for an intro level course, and he is extremely unpleasant to speak to during office hours, when he actually keeps them. Thankfully the TAs do all grading.

i cannot stress enough how much everyone should avoid this man. he is the most heartless and rude person i've ever met. the class is pointless and his grading is completely unfair.
