This class was a complete joke. I don't know how anyone could get ANYTHING from his classes. He literally cannot even spell his own name, he misspelled it wrong TWICE on the board, I don't know if he is high or retarded but if you want to learn anything don't take his class. If you want a SUPER easy A go for it, literally everyone gets an A

This prof. is very unorganized, and... old. Not that it's a bad thing, but it makes him scatterbrained and incomprehensible. He reads the picture captions through an average of 6 chapters a day. One test we did was over units 49-69. 20 units.... for one test... and units are roughly 4-6 pages apiece. Really bad choice

I love him he is really easy if you go to class. Also there is a huge extra credit oppurtunity at the end that can save everyones grade. He is amazing TAKE HIM!!!

um.... not a good teacher. I would'nt reccomend taking this class if you are interested in learning anything at all... He is very hard to follow and goes off topic. Nobody in the class understands whats going on and it gets to the point where going to class is useless unless it's a test day or a homework day.

This guy is unbelievably bad. I would say if you could choke through the labs that he'd be okay, but he goes through 4 chapters a day skimming the "most important" points of whatever psychobabble he's going over in class, then gives you a test with no relevant questions. If you're good at BS, you might pass his tests. Otherwise, stay away.

Holy crap. This guy is a TERRIBLE professor, completely and utterly unbelievable that this guy is still teaching. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take his descriptive astronomy class unless you enjoy reading 6 (SIX) chapters a DAY in his class, none of which is on his tests.

this astronomy class is great fun, but as you can tell from the other ratings you're not spoonfed the test questions. i think raters on this site are just looking for "easy" profs. whatever. if you're willing to make an effort, prof. heg is one of the best teachers ever! dude is brilliant.

He is the worst teacher ever. I don't think he even knows what's going on. He just reads directly from the book. I skipped the second half of class most of the time and missed absolutely nothing. As long as you can get through the labs (which are extremely easy) his class is just a blowoff.

He's very easily distracted, and class often consists of flipping back and forth through the book, or science movies from the 80s. There's a lot of homework in the beginning of the class, but if you can get through the first few weeks, there's hardly anything he makes you do in the last half of the semester. He can be amusing when he's distracted.
