TAKE HIM! I was so nervous for this class, but he made it so doable. He goes over all the hw and is willing to help you if you get stuck, all u have to do is ask. Not gonna lie, the exams were tough, but review the hw, practice problems, and the book and you should be good. Best accounting professor at CSUF. Its a hard class, but he made it fun!

Professor Woodward was my favorite professor by far! Make sure to review the homework and do the practice problems that he provides. It's a difficult class, but he made going to class extremely enjoyable.

Prof Woodward was one of the best professors I have had at CSUF so far. Woodward makes the material bearable and clearly communicates his requirements for his class. The exams are very difficult, and there's weekly homework assigned. Go to class, study the material and you'll pass.

If it all possible, do NOT take him for accounting. You have been warned. One of the most discouraging classes I have ever taken. He is very difficult to understand when explaining things. The lectures are super hard to follow. I studied for hours on end and went to tons of tutoring a week, but still have to retake it.

I have never been so disappointed after taking a class at CSUF. Professor Woodwards exams are extremely difficult and he will try his best to trick you. I showed up to every class, turned in every homework assignment, & studied really hard for each exam only to not pass the course. I took away nothing from his lectures- avoid at all costs.

He doesn't use power points so you have to pay attention to his lecture very carefully. His lecture is very vague and broad. Get ready to read or you won't pass the exam. This is a tough class.

Woodward made me love accounting again! He goes over all the hw in great detail and never tests on anything he has not shown in class. I learned so much from his class, wish I could take all my acct classes with him. Yes pretty much your entire grade is based on the exams and very little curve but if you know the hw you'll get a B or A.

This professor uses your tests as 90% of the grade (not kidding, 450/500 points). Tests are extremely hard also, to the point where students verbally complained to the professor. Luckily, he curves. Hardest I've ever had to study to pass a class with a C. If you want to just pass, this is not the class. You need to take this class seriously.

Woodward was the best tax professor at CSUF. Must pay attention in class, because he skips a lot of the sections in the book. Take good notes and follow up with those sections in the book. Homework problems help for the type of computational problems on the exam, but there is also a good amount of conceptual. If the class didn't do good, he curves!

Exams are based strongly on what he says will be on them. I.e. listen carefully during his lectures for "this would be a good test question" or "wow, this would be a great topic to be tested on". If you don't listen, you'll end up wasting time studying on useless material (there's a lot of untouched/useless material in this book). DO HOMEWORK!!!

Big curves as you are not allowed a cheat sheet for the exams. A quiz before each exam. Make sure to read only the sections he talks about in class as he selects the materials that's tested. Group project on a tax return that is easy. The best prof out of all the other 308 profs. Don't get the code for the book as hw is the chapter questions.

Tax is a hard subject, & he doesn't make it any easier. although he is a nice and personable guy, he was very unorganized. Takes forever to grade assignments and lecture style is just him going over the homework while flipping through the textbook. Exams were excruciatingly tough. but he does give a really big curve cuz our exams were closed book

CONS: 1. Mumbles ALOT. 2. Can't read anything he writes on the board because it looks like chicken scratch. 3. Exams are tricky. Every calculation you make shows up as an answer choice and there are "none of the above" answer choices as well. 4. Tons of hw every week. PROS: 1. He's nice and funny.

He tests on material he never went over. I took the first test and it was like a foreign language because the homework he assigned had nothing twith it. I heard he curves so I hope that helps.

This is his first time teaching 401. I took 308 w him and got B+; but apparently he has no idea about 401. DO NOT TAKE HIM! He got caught by students that he's teaching something wrong, multiple times!! Talk too fast but understandable. He changed the syllabus, HW, and exam dates on EVERY single class. Do not plan anything else if you're taking him

Class: first half, correct homework; second half, lecture. Not too much information in the lecture, so read the book. Doesn't put much effort into lecture. Tests are tricky and inconsistent with what was discussed in class. Curves every test as well as the final grade. Would not recommend, unless you're into teaching yourself the material.

Remember , He never send out emails and will never return your emails through the whole semester. Don't bother writing emails to him. Three exams and one comprehensive finals. He curves all tests but the test is really hard. Be prepared working on bonds and pension work sheet.

Good teacher but exams are insanely hard, all of them. He likes to test on very specific information and will throw wildcards at you. I studied each exam over 12 hours and could barely get Cs on the exam. Final is comprehensive and has tons of bond calculations on it. He curves every exam though. If you slack off, good luck passing.

This professor is very straightforward. Class has 3 tests and the final exam. The teaches tests exactly what is covered on lectures or homework, not surprises. Homework are dueevery week, and every homework is discussed the next week. I strongly recommend taking this professor for those who like listenning lectures rather than reading textbooks.
