Good professor, passionate & very knowledgeable! However, class is lecture heavy and SO boring that most everyone is on their phone/laptop or sleeping! Study guides are a hit & miss but be familiar with terminology.

Dr. Lamarine is a really funny guy with real life experiences on what hes talking about. He doesnt give any homework and you could not even show up and still pass. All there is are 2 papers and 3 tests. Definitely would take again. You also never need the book as he posts all his lectures on Blackboard and that is what the test is based off.

great professor, lectures are interesting and helpful, the majority of the questions are base on his lectures so you don't want to miss those. only 2 papers. overall really easy class if you try.

Class was alright but since lecture was posted in blackboard not a lot of student show up to class. Exam was a bit hard so make sure to study lecture notes. Class consist of 2 abstract, 1 fact sheets, and 3 exam.

Hes a funny guy. I enjoyed all the random stories he told. they kind of help you related back to real life but maybe not so much to the curriculum. He was very helpful. He has you do two short essays really easy and for his tests study all the Drug brand names and generic names. show up for class and its a pretty easy B for sure

Professor Lamarine is a nice person. He loved telling his personal story to student, which, makes this class a lot more interesting. Exam are a little bit hard. My advice would be to study his lecture slides.

This class is pretty easy and laid back. Make sure to attend lectures and pay attention. Professor Lamarine grade points on attendance as well. There is only 2 essay and 3 exam. Exam are a little bit tricky because its based off from lectures. Make sure to study the study guide. Overall, I love his personal story.

Comment:

Really enjoyed him. Always had fun life stories to share about his drug experiences. If you show up to every class, and show him that you're really trying, he is willing to pump up your grade a bit. Grading from 3 tests, 2 papers, and attendance. Read the book and pay attention, and there's no reason you shouldn't at least get a solid B.

One of the better professors I've had completing my undergraduate work. Dr. Lamarine has an extensive knowledge and plenty of personal stories that make the class interesting. I highly recommend.

Dr. Lamarine is a pretty laid back professor & funny guy. He often goes off topic & usually talks about his life events, but it all relates to the class topics. Class consists of 2 abstracts, & 3 tests. His tests are M/C & are off his Powerpoint notes. Overall, easy & interesting class.

After reading the posts I felt the need to comment so that maybe someone may see a different side of this "amazing" professor. Professor Lamarine is indeed a VERY nice individual, however as a professor he is vague and tends to waste class time telling personal stories. Tests are very complex while his grading is specific. Great teacher, tells many funny stories. Only thing if you aren't sure where you stand with drugs in your life DON'T take this class!...he really makes you want to do all types of drugs! Really study cuz the tests are HARD! notes are only a little helpful its all about reading the book.

Great professor.Great lecturer, interesting stories, just a super guy. But you must attend class and read the book if you want a good grade--and don't text in class. It is just sooo disrespectful. Just leave your snobby ass at home if ur gonna do that. Highly recommend his class.

JUST TAKE IT!You won't regret it.He is one of the best teachers I have had my entire life. He made class fun, like we all were just hanging out talking, but just happen to be learning about Drugs. I wish I could have this professor again. Two papers-easy points. Three noncomp exams-questions pulled directly out of lecture. JUST TAKE IT!

Dr. Lamarine is an intelligent humorous professor. Attendance is not mandatory but if you show up for class you are guaranteed to have the answers to the exam questions since test questions come mostly from lecture. The research proposal seems difficult but it is not. Just follow the guidelines and use previous students’ projects as examples.
