Professor Huskey is one of the best orgo professors at rutgers Newark. he really takes his time explaining things and even going over stuff you might have done in previous classes. His exams are a mixture of multiple choice, reaction fill-ins, and about 4 open-ended mechanism and synthesis problems. All his questions come from his lectures.

Dr. Huskey is a great professor to take for Organic Chemistry 2. Although he teaches very fast make sure you take good notes and read the book. His exams are fair but to do good you have to be willing to put in the work for this class.

eased all my fears about pchem! Makes it very easy to understand. He does go fast in lecture but does a good job highlighting the important points. skipped a lot of lectures, but read the book and did all homework and aced the final. Same grading breakdown as orgo. It's very possible to do well, but you need to put in a lot of time and work. 10/10

BEST orgo professor! Organic chem is not an easy class, so you really have to commit to doing all of the hw and reading the textbook! Come to class, take good notes and do the hw! thats the only way you'll pass. He's always available for any questions that you have.

AMAZING chemistry professor, granted he does teach quickly. Your grade is your exams, the final can be worth up to 75%. Hes always willing to answer questions. Show him that you care to learn and put time into studying and you will be just fine, just make sure to study and not let things accumulate!

He is an amazing/smart professor, he would answer any question you have with a smile and passion, but once it comes to exams, you need to study every day ! Organic Chemistry isn't an easy course anyways so I don't blame him, 3 lecture exams and lowest is dropped and replaced by final exam if you score higher than your lowest exam. get ready to READ

Great professor. Wants his students to do well and is very knowledgable. Very fair grader too, gives partial credit. PChem is not an easy subject but he makes it bareable. Also makes some jokes sometimes. Long lectures though and lots of writing notes! Do the homework problems and you will do well. Exams based off of those. Textbook not helpful

Avoid him at all costs! There are easier professors that will help you get a better grade! Yes he is the best teacher and the head of the department but his exams are tough and he teaches very very fast. Just do the all the hw problems and don't get lazy. Orgo is a very tough subject that many fail including me!

Helpful nice guy, cares about student success, has a hand in just about everything Orgo related at RU Newark. Grading is fair, but do the reading BEFORE class and the HW BEFORE recitation, or he might as well teach in Swahili. It's not him, it's the nature of orgo, you get what you put in. KNOW YOUR MECHANISMS/SYNTHESES. There are no shortcuts.

He drops 1 midterm, so Final counts for 60% of the score. Do: read chapter before the lecture, otherwise you will NOT understand a word. Do attempt homework problems before the lecture. Pick a study buddy and act as a tutor- explain HW problems, mechanisms, terminology, quiz each other on reactions. You will get an A.
