One of the best teachers of any school anywhere. She takes a personal interest in her students' education. Grinnell College President Russell Osgood didn't like her so he decided to harass her until she quit. He's a weasel.

I have known Pip for 5 years, and can say with complete conviction that she is the most thoughtful, caring, helpful individual on campus. Her classes go far beyond the materials to teach students larger life lessons, and her door is always open. She has had a remarkable life, and you should feel privileged if you can get to know her.

The woman is one heck of a mentor. Turned the theatre department around when she came--the school wanted her out and the students rebelled. Story was that the admin thought 10 kids would show up at Grinnell House, but the line to get into the meeting went out the door and down the block.
