It was so great to have him as a professor, he's such a joy to be around. Very charismatic guy, and he communicates the information in a pretty interesting way! There's really no homework, and quizzes and tests aren't hard as long as you study a decent amount!

Nicest professor ever! He is the sweetest guy that wear a suit to class everyday. He is very knowledgeable and he makes a lot of funny jokes! If you listen you will catch them! Tests are directly for the outlines/lectures. He has reading assignments but they are not necessary so don't buy the book!

Dr. Stancil is absolutely wonderful. I had a textbook but didn't read it at all and still got an A, because his lectures are so in depth and specific. Sometimes his drawl can put you to sleep if you're already tired, but he truly knows his specialty and there's so much to learn from him. If he's been talking for awhile, he'll crack jokes! He rocks

Great teacher. He gives a chapter outline before beginning his lecture for what is going to be on the test. He then gives you a study guide and it has the vocal and essay questions that are going to be on the test. The final was the only hard test I took and I still did well. He is clear when talking.

He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is an adorable older man who always wears a suit to class and is excited about what he has to teach for that day, even if its an 8am (which I had). The class is easy if you pay attention and take good notes!

You will have 3 books including the Bible for this class. You will have a reading for each class, sometimes a reading from each book. If you pay attention and study for the quizzes and tests you should do fine. You will have a weekly quiz but those are not bad. In the end he drops your two lowest quiz scores. I wish he was my Grandpa. I loved his Christianity classes and I'm a science major! He makes everything extremely clear and straight-forward. His tests and quizzes come STRAIGHT from the notes and aren't difficult. At the same time, he was very interesting and held my attention in class. There's nothing I can complain about!

Great class and teacher. He's so nice and helpful, even outside of the classroom. I never do well in religion courses but this one was crystal clear to understand and I passed easily, not because it wasn't challenging but because he's such a thorough teacher.

I had him for Christianity I and II. He is probably my favorite professor at this school. He knows a lot about the different denominations, isn't biased, and is really nice. Class is interesting and not that hard; just pay attention and study. He's laid back, tells great stories, and has a fun country twang.
