Very good teacher. Very in-depth analysis of a subject that you wouldn't think would be necessary. HAVE TO READ THE BOOK OR ELSE!!! Marketing Plan is over 40 pages at least, but it's not as difficult as it seems. Start at the beginning of the semester and go all the way through to the end.

Porter was awesome. She is always so polite and friendly and makes a point to know all of her students names by the second day... pretty cool! Tests are pretty tough but take good notes and you will get by with a B+ easily. Brings food and treats to class every single day!

I took her Marketing class, it was great and hard. Great if you are a marketing major, you will have great basic! but REALLY HARD on exam, none of the student in my class get an A on test, and I got a B on the marketing plan even though we have spent gazillion hours on it. Recommend ONLY if you are a major. (too much work).OH! email never replied

She is a poor teacher. She is unclear at communicating what she means. She gave me feedback on my marketing paper in front of the entire class and it was extremely negative. She is disrespectful and cares more about cloths than teaching.

Services Marketing: dont mistake the easiness of the lectures for easy tests. There are 2 tests but they're diffcult! The questions are harder than what the lecture and class seems to lead on. There are 2 major group projects and 2 other smaller projects. Overall, an OK class not too difficult but projects take a lot of time.

Definitely not the class to take if you want to maintain a high GPA. Marketing plan is tedious and time consuming - start it right away. Departmental final is comprehensive. Tests are rough, but quizzes are okay. She's super unapproachable and pretty condescending. Yes you get free stuff, but if I had it to do over, I'd take it with someone else.

Hard class, but you learn alot. She gives out free stuff, which is nice, and if nothing else, makes you pay more attention. I found the quizes harder than the tests, which are pretty hard. I went so far as to outline the chapters in the book to study. Marketing Plan is EXTREMELY time-consuming and difficult so my best advice would be to start early

She is gorgeous, but hard. You must work your butt off to get an A in this class. I studied a LOT for each exam, got A's on all of them- but- worked the hardest I ever have for those A's. mkting plan is HARD- must devote LOTS LOTS LOTS of time to it- don't procrastinate. tons of free food- GREAT education, she's a hardcore cyclist---hott!

Class is tough, she's nice brings a bunch of free stuff. Test are hard, project blows. But you do the project with anyone so have fun with that $h!T. It sucks really bad. The rest of the class ain't bad, plus she's got a decent @$$ to glance at if ya get really bored.

Project takes A LOT of time and she barely talks about it in class, gives you a packet and you have to figure it out by yourself. She gives a lot of points for attendance. She's very nice and easy to talk to but class isn't the easiest. Her quizzes aren't hard but the tests are. The big project could have been fun, but don't procrastinate. (Like the rest of my group did, we got a 78 on it) Go to class for notes and be there for other's presentations!

Very nice prof, but there was a language barrier on what she discussed and the questions on the tests. Quizzes were okay, if you read the book or came to class, you knew the answers. For tests, what should be common sense was not because the phrasing of the questions was confusing. Papers not bad, one group and one individual.

Loved this teacher, she really connects with her students. The project is very time consuming and detailed, but if you use your resources well its actually kind of fun! Make sure you pick group members who are similar to your writing style tho. Reccommend her a lot to anyone looking to go into the marketing field!
