He is a good guys, but not very good teacher. He has too much tests and quizzes, if you want to pass, you should work very hard. For CHEM121, my instructor is Dr Thomson his the great teacher, I think he is the better choice. If last semester I do not have biology class, i will choose him

He really knows his stuff, but does not know how to teach it to first year chemistry students. Will mark you down for not having correct significant figures. Had a hard time reading his handwriting and understanding him sometimes. Extra credit quizzes saved my grade.

Shetty is the worst professor at Ferris. Not only can you not understand what he is saying, but he flies through the lecture as if we should all know what he is already talking about. He Isn't friendly at all & I feel like he's always calling students out, which makes it difficult to ask for help. Avoid him at all costs if you want to pass Chem 122

This was the worst class I have ever taken! I studied for hours on end for test and still got awful grades. He is very unclear what he expects from you when it comes to test. He is extremely unapproachable. He is too smart to be teaching such a low level class he goes way too in-depth with thing you cant understand what is being taught.

Professor Shetty is of a different breed. He is a very complicated teacher, to understand what he is saying and to read his writing is hard. His test averages are low and he blames the students what a joke!!!!!!!

If at all possible, avoid Shetty. I have gotten all A's throughout high school and college so far and I'm hanging on to my B- by a thread. You can hardly understand him because of his accent and his writing is illegible at times. He does not review whatsoever for exams and you mostly have to learn the material on your own outside of class. AVOID!

Dr. Shetty was the only teacher offered at the time I needed it and taking him was a big mistake. He doesn't do a good job on teaching kids so they actually learn he's there just to get a pay check. He gave a lot of homework and you have to do a lot of learning on your own. He also never gave reviews before tests and his tests are very tricky.

Dr. Shetty is a witty, comical, friendly little ball of sass, and he really is a great professor, but damn was Quant a challenge. Pulling an A in this class was one of the hardest I've done (I'm a Biotech senior with a 4.00). Expect to work for it, but I really did learn a lot about analytical chemistry, and my lab skills drastically improved.

He's so bad. You can barely understand him in the lecture and he tests you on things he didn't even teach. The homework is online and you can't do it without reading the book and teaching yourself everything.

Do not take this professor if you aren't prepared to really study for a course. The entire class is very lecture heavy and he always assigns lots of online homework without telling you when its due. Overall, he really knows what he is talking about, but if you don't like a lot of work you will struggle in this class. Would recommend SLA

Dr. Shetty can be difficult to understand at first due to his accent and has quite the bad reputation. However, I excelled in his course. He is very straight forward in lecture and makes it very clear when he is introducing a key term. If you copy down what he writes in lecture and connect it to the text you will do well.

Awful. His only form of teaching was writing notes through the camera/projector for us to copy word for word. Very unapproachable

Lectures were confusing at first, but once the semester went on I got used to the structure and what was expected. We had online homework and it wasn't bad. You just have to put in a few extra hours doing practice problems and really understanding concepts. Dr. Shetty really likes proving concepts during lectures. It's honestly not that bad. Relax.

I had Dr. Shetty for 2nd Semester General Chem, I finished the class with C. You have to work hard for a C, his exams are tough but he is very unclear on which concepts or chapter sections each test will be covering. He is quite strict with his labs and will also grade pretty harshly. Homework had no late points. Find someone else.

AVOID THIS TEACHER. I am a all A student and had to withdraw from the course cause he made no sense and was just plain confused. Had to retake the course with a different teacher and it was ten times easy that time around. Shetty doesn't care about students and doesn't care if you pass or fail. Not easy to talk to and very unfriendly. AVOID!!!

Shetty was incredibly hard to understand, and he moved way to quickly for an entry level Chem class. I hadn't had chem since my sophomore year of high school, but the girl next to me who took AP chem struggled too. Quizzes every day, tests are incredibly hard. He says he gives partial credit but don't expect it.

Worst teacher I have ever had! He is awful at teaching, He is also very hard to understand and confuses his words a lot. His tests are very hard, Their is written responses and he marks you wrong no matter what. I had the exact same definition he gave in class and marked me points off. If you can take any other teacher do so!!!!

Awful. Very short patience, doesn't explain things clearly. You have to carefully pay attention because he's all over the place. Writes all of his lectures on the projector but you can barely read his hand writing. Doesn't give objectives for tests, gets angry if you ask for help. I would avoid him at all cost, just an overall rude man.

He really tries to make the content interesting but the way he delivers it is not good for anyone trying to actually understand what he is teaching. The lectures seem to be pretty all over the place and you must pay 100% attention or you will miss something as he is hard to understand most of the time.
