Totally enjoyed this man's class. He encouraged us to participate, in fact I felt totally compelled to join in during class discussions. Being disabled is no fun but when I was in his class I felt like a peer! I managed to do well even though I had computer and other problems during the semester. Thank you Mr. Hertel for helping me feel normal!

Bob is such an amazing professor I recommend you take his class! His class is based on a 10pg midterm paper (which don't be scared its actually easy and about an interesting topic), book notes and lecture notes (checked at the end of semester), and a group final. No tests or quizzes,hes very kind and I learned so much in his class it was very fun.

Professor Hertel is an outstanding professor and he really cares for his students. He doesn't want you do tests but instead wants you to do a mid-term paper and a group project as a final. Those who want to learn about business, news, politics, and life should take this class.

I have him for two classes. Doesn't use textbook much but we have them for reference. One group project. Used to be a rockstar and tells lots of stories. Coolest professor ever. You learn more through class discussions and tangents during lectures than ever opening the book. Very hands-on learning. TAKE HIM!

Honestly, Bob is such an amazing person and he really cares about his students. He talk about his real life experience to only want you to succeed. No tests, a 10 paper again, group presentations and notes. Super easy but I also learned a lot from him. Would take it!

There are two kinds of people, those who listen and learn from other's past experiences, and those who refuse to. If you are the second kind, don't take this class and save it for those of us who want to learn. I learned more from this class than any I've taken at mesa.

Professor Hertel is a great man and professor. You absolutely have to show up to class and participate (they count for about 30% of the grade). He doesn't do any tests, but he makes you write a mid-term paper and a group work as a final, so he makes sure you've learned what you've done in class.

Bob is a great professor. Very little to zero homework, 1 or 2 tests, a couple of group projects (presentation) and that's all. He teaches great material and very helpful and understanding. I had a 3-hour class with him and he let us out early. Definitely recommend him!

Took him twice. Bob is a great human being, with lots of inspirational knowledge to share. Although the class was late evening, I didn't feel bored or sleep. He let us go home early and gives little to none homework. No tests either, but group presentations and pitch speeches

This is a great instructor if a person needs help, he is always there to help! He made the classes fun. He is strict with mandatory participation & doing the homework. No quizzes or tests. He does not tolerate students who goof off & will put a stop to disruptive & disrespectful behavior by those types of students! He teaches at an adult level.

Loved him as a Professor. No Tests or Quizzes. Two group projects...One on midterm and the other on Finals. Lectures were interesting. Real life business ethics applied. Would really recommend his class. I would definitely take him again, I really enjoyed his class :)

DO NOT TAKE. he takes the whole 3 hours for night class to talk and you never get out! You have to do group work and we all know that you always get shafted with some crappy group members! I would not take again if my life depended on it...such a dread to go to.

VERY easy class....midterm is a group project and final is a group project, no tests, you have to do chapter outlines from the book which are due on the VERY last day. Last 2 classes were presentations, so if you go that first day, don't skip the second (last) day so he can skim through them.

While Bob's a nice guy, I don't rank the quality of learning high for a few reasons. The material learned must be applied. And Regardless whether you agree with him, he shouldn't talk so MUCH politics. Not only was 20-45 minutes of many classes wasted, but it was off subject. Talking so much about previous trouble in recent jobs is also a waste.
