Comment:

Crowder's class is very interesting. The reading is from a reader (that should've been put online to avoid print cost). It's extensive & necessary. The quizzes come straight from the reading. Crowder can be overly repetitive but he supplies the material for the research paper so he basically does the work for you. Overall his class is worth taking.

Crowder is incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable, but unless you want to deal with a ridiculous amount of reading (like 150-200 pgs/week in articles) don't take his class. Its not worth it. Assignments are tedious and he can be very picky about answers. For only having 13 units, to my suprise and annoyance, this one is taking up all my time.

Prof. Crowder is interesting, nice, and most importantly brilliant. He likes to know that his students are interested in the material and are taking the class seriously, so asking questions is welcomed. The text for this class is a reader, which he compiled himself, of articles and chapters from books. There is a lot of reading for this course.

Cool, cool teacher. Willing to help, fair, offers extra credit, and knows his stuff! Lots and lots of reading, so keep up. He will call you out if you haven't read. But still, Crowder is a straight up kinda guy. recommended.

Dr. Crowder really cares about whether or not his students are learning. Always be ready to discuss something about the readings, because there are a lot of them and Crowder really emphasizes participation! It seems that he expects a lot, but class is really not that difficult if you are able to become familiar with the readings.

Crowder is bomb, u do have to git used to the taxing amount of reading, but u learn alot. He loves what he teaches, and dont try to B.S. he'll know it, his classes are not that hard tho where u cannot get an A. He is always understanding, wililng to grant extensions, work with you, extend himself, and he's cool overall.

Cool guy but tons and tons of reading. Had to get used to all the reading. Was very accessible during office hours and helpful when doing papers. He clears things up for you when you talk to him...he might talk you out a bit, but it's worth it.

very nice, it doesn't help you pass the class, though. Work can be overwhelming and focus topics and organization are non-existant. tends to drone off topic a lot and never writes anything which always leaves you utterly lost. Tests are difficult where they usually require you to define what the author said. Go with Lowey,easier. teaching fall05.
