Ralph is super knowledgeable about both the academic and industry arenas. His passion for IO, and Law & Economics is evident. Lectures were early, but I didn't feel sleepy at all in his talks. Unbelievably nice and patient man in class and office hours. Take a course with him if possible!

The course was well taught, but his monotone voice always tries to put me to sleep. The course is easy if you did well in ECON 101 and 102. If you didn't you have to study really hard.

Pretty good prof, although not very exciting. You can definitely learn from him. I didn't really find his online notes very helpful. I wish he made econ sound more interesting, but other than that, he's a good prof. Helpful outside the class.

Winter is definitely NOT the most exciting person, but he is a great prof! His lectures are clearly organized, his notes emphasizes on all the main ideas, and he includes helpful examples in his teaching. He's nice & patient, a great help if you're confused. Reading his notes and doing assignments will help you. I'm starting to like ECON after 295!

Mr. Winter may not be the most dynamic teacher, but if you ever need help in the course, he's very helpful. He always remembers your name and is very patient in explaining concepts. He's also a very smart prof; if you're interested in economics applied to law, it's interesting to listen to him.

for one thing, he tries really hard. especially with his jokes. eg. when a fone rings he always says "if that's for me, ill take it after class" gotta give him credit for that. He is kinda monotone tho and the class is inherently hard so hes not
