Decent professor, but gets annoyed if you ask him a question in class or during office hours. Seems to think of himself as an Einstein level genius and looks down on students who are simply trying to learn but don't quite understand the difficult material and are often asking questions. Optimization and structural reliability are both challenging

Good in class examples and large emphasis on projects which greatly contributed to my learning of optimization. Dr. Grandhi is the best in his field and is very intelligent in the subject. Challenging class, but I highly recommend it.

Very Arrogant. Worthless class. Book (written by him) was riddled with typos. Gave homework assignments that he did not understand. Had grad students stand in to teach a graduate class. I put in hundreds of hours for a B. This course was a joke, find a different one.

He is extremely arrogant. He loves to say that he will happily answer questions but when asked questions he gets very upset; making faces and insulting students. If you take him you will teach yourself and be pissed because he's a jerk.
