For a Math GE I would Recommend this class. The quizzes and tests are relatively easy. You will have homework every night and you must complete it how Prusak wants to get credit. You will also have to memorize definitions but he will tell you which ones and how many are on the test. Overall an easy class if you put a little work in.

Once you get used to his grading style (formal definitions only!), the class isn't too bad. Exams are fair if you do your work and pay attention in class. If you don't do well, he gives extra credit for redoing a given question. P.S. If you have to take his class, make sure you leave plenty of time before your next one. Class routinely runs late.

Memorize definitions verbatim. Those definitions are in quizzes & tests. He's really cautious about using class time despite making repetitive 5-mins announcements daily & often going past the hour + 15 mins. Gives more homework on the weekdays than weekends. He makes the class significantly harder than it should be, but he's a nice person.

Prusak is very anxious, yet very kind and sympathetic towards his students. He's super anal about doing the work his way and is very specific in what he wants, so if you aren't in class to see how to do it on the tests you won't pass. The material is easy but he just makes it so much more difficult than it needs to be. Easy A if you work for it

If you don't write definitions literally word-for-word, you won't pass. He'll take off points for every word variation from the actual dictionary definition. And he straightup doesn't care about the students you can sit there for an hour with your hand up and he won't even notice. Super boring.

He gives homework almost every class but it's based off of the class lesson and isn't usually too tough. He graded toughly though because if you get one thing wrong on your entire homework he will give it back and make you redo it for credit until it's right. He's a really nice old man that has a lot of after class hours to help you and is happy to

I like math! He makes you solve his ways, if not you get point taken away. It hard to get an A because he makes his quiz difficult. Classes much be boring because he talks a lot in class. He let you retake the quiz and give you extra points and also your exams and hw.

Prusak is a great professor for someone who is extremely bad in math and need new ways to learn it. However, if you already know a bit of math then it may be confusing because he is a perfectionist. Prusak wants math to be done his way. He deducts points for not have x, (,) radicals etc... HE is very anxious but, very intelligent. Great teacher!!

I am TERRIBLE at math and still struggled a lot with it this semester, however, Professor Prusak is by far the best math instructor I have ever had. He has office hours every single day. He offers extra credit all the time. He can be a difficult grader but he's pretty fair. This class was a lot harder than I expected. Definitely not an easy GE.

You MUST do things exactly how he wants them. Homework is redone if even a formula is written incorrectly. Lots of nightly homework too. Take notes EXACTLY as he writes them because he is very specific in what he wants. As far as the math goes, it's not difficult material. Overall a nice guy that just makes the class way harder than it needs to be

He can be nice, but his grading is terrible. I did every homework and he would make me redo a question because I didn't include an equal sign or an x. Seriously? You can see I understand the material by my correct answer. whole semester was a waste. Rushed through key points needed for the final and "taught" the last chapter on last day of class.

He's passionate about teaching. He may be a tough grader and take points off the little things, but he allows for extra credit to make up for those silly quiz mistakes. His grading technique may be peculiar, but it shouldn't scare you off. Prusak is very patient, and genuinely tries to help students understand the work. One of the better professors

Wonderful wonderful professor. Anyone who complains about him was too lazy to do the work and fix the mistakes he takes points off for. He is a picky grader, but makes it clear what he expects. One of the sweetest most helpful professors I have ever had. Increased my math abilities ten fold, don't listen to any negativity about this professor

awful. does not let you do math that way that you were taught or know. MUST do it his way or you will fail. He takes off useless points and doesn't care if you get the right answer. if you dont show the work HIS WAY it will be marked wrong. please do yourself a favor and avoid his classes at ALL COSTS. i used to love math, but now i hate it.

Make the effort to work hard and he will help you as much as it takes. Do not want to miss classes or miss a lot of info. Its college people, you should want to be there everyday!

Mr. Prusak is a very sweet man. His lectures move at a rapid pace and are sometimes very confusing - he frequently has to correct himself at the board and explains things too minimally. Not a class for those who struggle with math. Strict grader, and his homework system is very easy to get behind on. If you're good at math you should be fine.

Overall a very nice professor. Allows you to get extra points added to your quiz/exams. Takes his time to help you if you go to his office hours. His grading is very strict though ): You can get points taken off your quiz/exam if it isnt done his way. just study & you will be fine (:

Attendance is mandatory which is annoying. He is a really nice guy and available if you need help/extra credit. But he is very strict in the way he wants things done and his teaching methods aren't the best but the class is very basic math so you should be fine.

Very strict grader. Terrible teaching methods. All he does in class is solve problems on the board without really explaining them. He also gives us hw due on the day of a quiz that has nothing to do on the quiz we are taking that day.
