I took his Honors Reading class (Internet and Public Policy) and it was one of my favorite classes. We had to read a paper every week and discussed it in the weekly 50 minute class. I learned about many different topics from his discussions, and would love to take a class with him again.

The programming assignments are probably the easiest part of this class even though they aren't really easy. Quizzes are tough and his tests are even harder. His questions are very practical questions and not at all recitation of knowledge but application of what you learned in class. Professor is very knowledgable, but you gotta do more than study

This is the best professor for Operating Systems. He only teaches the undergrad version in the summers. The lectures explain all the concepts in a very practical and easy to understand way. The programs do not take long if you understand the class. He ties all the upper-level courses together, so you learn a lot here. Great class!

The best course i have taken at UTD till now. One of the best professors and really loved AOS under him. Simple superb in explaining concepts. I learnt a lot and the projects were really good.I would recommend this course to anyone.

His classes were really exciting except for the crazy morning hours(8:30am) and I'd to focus hard to listen to his lectures. He has one algorithmic question in his mid term/final exams that are of research level. His class quizzes are tough except for the first and the last. Be prepared to practice solving variations of the problems he teaches.

One of the best professor I came across. Knows his subject, and knows how to teach. No textbook is being followed, he teaches only from publications. So, course is tough. Besides, the exams, quizes and projects will be tough and will require clear understanding of concepts. Not a course you can pass by mugging or studying on the last day.

He is an amazing lecturer. Always has interesting stories in his pocket. He knows how to explain complicated things with political jokes or stories. Sometimes wastes too much time on trivial things and cut corners in some tough algorithms or at the end of semester. Do a lot more documentation than required in projects. The course TA is not normal.

Attended his advanced operating systems class. I can say that he is one of the best professors in UT Dallas. His way of teaching and explaining the complex topics is second to none. His classes proves to be very helpful to me in my job. If you don't worry about the grade and want to learn the complex computer science concepts, take this course.

The best professor in UTD! Enjoyed going to his classes, learnt a lot. But the projects are extremely tough. So are the mid terms and finals but the quizzes are quite easy. His correction and grading is quite strict too.

Great Professor. Explains complex algorithms by giving nice real life examples. I did not get a good grade, but one of the best professor I have ever had. I really enjoyed his Advanced Operating System course.
