He's a pretty OLD guy! He has alot of personality, but the teaching wasn't catchy to me. He mentioned a lot of things that were not important. He always gave little known facts about people that might have been interesting but not helpful towards the class. Oh, he always showed these 2 minute videos that weren't very helpful in class as well.

He is a funny man, the lectures are interesting although he tells stories and facts that will never be needed on the tests....The tests are HARD because he does not specify what will be included from the chapters..if you like history then take his class becuase he at least makes lectures interesting

He's one hard mutha. Lectures good, but LOTSA info for a 200 level class! Also stresses things as if everyone in class wishes to be a published historian...maybe not the best tact to take for a class of that level.

one of the worst teachers i've had at niu. took attendance everyday and if you missed TWO class periods you were dropped a whole letter grade. plus all tests were essay and there was a research paper. not a fun class.
