difficult prof. She is originally from Germany and does 1/2 her lecture and tests in german. Does not hand back assignments, or post grades on blackboard. When you ask her your grade she says it doesn't matter. Very hard to understand. Way too much work for a200 level class. Avoid her if you can I sure will.

Absolutely Useless. Gebauer makes wide sweeping statements without a scientific basis, and cites outdated information. She can't ever convey her message, and she often edits her powerpoints mid-lecture (read: lack of prep). She is not available during most office hours and doesn't hand back any graded material. Worst prof I've had ever.

does indeed spit when she talks, very german, and a very intimidating person. made me feel stupid when i asked questions & she didnt really answer them. powerpoints need more text, listen & take careful notes! its hard to break through the intimidation factor, if you do though its possible to like her and do well in her courses.

A Wonderful teacher, a wonderful woman, a wonderful person. Dr. Gebauer is a devoted scientist and a fun teacher. She is serious about ecology and teaching her students how to be scientists. She is a fair grader and fun to spend time with in class.

You'd think a 100-level would be easy, but it's hell with her. She preaches on things irrevelant to what she actually tests you on. Very unclear with assignments and what's needed to do well in her course. Repeats words, and when she starts to get mad, she sometimes shouts in German...horrid lady!

Horrible class and not a great professor. I came to learn, not be preached to. We can think for ourselves! There's something about hearing about US environmental mistakes from someone speaking half-German. The Black Forest is no success story!

I enjoy her. for upper level ENST she's fun to debate with, even when she gets her info wrong, but hey so does the rest of the world. she ownsup to her mistakes, and invites interesting class discussions

Very demanding. Quizzes almost every other class. Two midterms and a final in which she thinks you should know every definition from the book. Her English skills could use to be worked on a bit too. Don't take this class unless you have to!
